i read about it before..didnt remember the details..but roughly like this.

lets say pajak term : limit 6 month u get 60% of the gold value in cash.

let say u pawn 15k (100g) worth of gold (1g=rm150) : u get rm9k

then u buy 9k(60g) worth of gold and pawn them : u get rm5.4k which is enough to buy 36g

repeat till u used up all the money..

from my calculation you will end up pawning about 100g,60g,36g,20g,10g=226g (rm 33.9k) worth of gold with rm 1k to spare.

assuming after 6 month the gold price went up 10% to rm 165/g.

buy back the smallest gold u pawned..in this case 10g=rm1500(the gold value when u pawned it) only need to pay back the pawned price which is 60% = rm900 only..you still have the spare rm 1k from before..use it for that.

then sell the 10g gold u get = rm165*10g= rm 1.6k

next buy back the pawned 20g gold = rm 1.8k

sell the 20g gold...

rinse and repeat..

by the end of it you will end up with rm19k-20k. about 1/3 more than rm15k u invested before.

U have to call them before u buy.

If you are planning to buy small denominations below 100g for investment, I suggest you buy paper gold instead. The spread is too high.

Noted; that's reason why the buy/sell spread % was added into the data. Also the RM cost per gram.

Just to contribute & share with newbies here (me a newbie too); and especially with those born with silver spoon in mouth and yet never heard of silverware. 

100g is PAMP GOLD at RM17,368. That's too much at one go. The 1oz & 1/2oz coins looks reasonable...

gold now myr 159.31 per gram. last saw a drop a 2 rm to 156. then increase back to 159 level. Somebody is making short term gain at the moment .
