Actually I'm looking for the Chart Prophet to have his prediction come true, then we all can line up at UOB and finish off their supply of gold. tongue.gif

Hi guys,

I've been in silver investment personally, and I am always keeping up with precious metal market.

I wish to know that why most people do not recommend paper gold?

I stand corrected prophetjul. The RM200 was the face value of the 1 oz. I bought what I could afford back then. That time got married mana ada wang to back up the truck.

As for junior there, well, time will tell.

Guys,

If any of you have Maybank GSIA, you'll notice that on your m2u account you have new menus. Previously you can only check how many grams you have. But now there's a buy and sell button. When I clicked it, it said service coming soon.

Will we finally be able to buy/sell gold from home?

Maybank moving towards Buy/Sell via Maybank2U.com.... that's nice but Maybank's spread is very high.

If you understands the fundamental of gold, it is to counter fiat currency. Paper gold is just another version of fiat currency. Overally, it is attractive to buy paper gold. Low spread, easy trading, easy selling, buying at minimum weight of 1g, no security issues and you don't have to bother about shipment of goods. The only catch here, is there really GOLD? Some may care less about it so long they profits but think about it for a moment - money in the first place was designed to be paper gold. Somehow, money is no longer backed by any gold but paper gold is? Ponder about this.

All the best in your precious metals investment.

Thanks for the reply. You've pointed out very important things that I never consider about nod.gif

For me the down side of paper gold is, you cannot control your buying/selling price. The spread is fixed. It's like, I buy it but I don't own it.
