QUOTE(long2292 @ Feb 21 2013, 11:47 PM) May I know how to enhance the WiFi file transfer speed? Hi long2292,e.g. Laptop (WiFi) -> Desktop (WiFi) Both of it using Wireless N The file transfer speed I get currently is between 600Kb/s - 1Mb/s。 The wireless transfer speed between client and client is highly determined by the wireless client itself, so upgrading the router alone may not improve your performance significantly, unless your router is really performing sub-par now. May I know your current router model? Cloud Computer This post has been edited by CloudComputer: Feb 22 2013, 05:48 PM |

QUOTE(long2292 @ Feb 22 2013, 05:56 PM) My current router is MikroTik RB751G-2HnD with SMA adapter and a 6 dBi antenna. This router is very good enough, you will need better client side devices to improve the client speed, examples listed as below.Any suggestion to improve the wireless transfer speed? http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details...model=TL-WN951N http://www.tp-link.com/en/products/details...model=TL-WN822N |

QUOTE(viper-xs @ May 4 2013, 01:05 AM) Dealing to buy is damn easy. Thanks for your detailed review, bro Pros: The cheapest with loads of awesome useful features. Feature wise is enterprise grade. Didn't expect things like SoC etc Small footprint (read cute Great hardware. Won't go into details of it Great software Stability is there Cons: Not really plug&play and [almost] idiot proof design. Requires bit of basic technical knowledge. Bland color Workaround: Perhaps get some basic stuff preconfigured for you [like preconfigured for Unifi etc] and you can learn along the way [if need to implement new feature] Spray it with different color then..make a rainbow also can Conclusion: If you plan to dish out 300 or more on some Asus stuff for example then have a look at this first Remember to upgrade to latest version of RouterOS to improve your router performance and stability! |
