btw, the GPS locks scarily FAST!! Test using Papago X5 during the weekend. The GPS locks within 1-2 seconds!! So much faster than my DHD which normally took about 5 minutes or more if i did not use it for a while. Think Samsung must have learn their lesson from the poor GPS in their first gen SGS.

also found out that videos recorded by DHD cannot be play with Note. The preview did appear though (can see the first frame of the video at the video list) - and can be streamed to PC using DLNA and play smoothly with Windows Media Player.
anyone using the USB to HDMI adaptor? can it support both 720p and 1080p? where to buy it at best price?

QUOTE(daryl020189 @ Nov 14 2011, 11:09 AM) can be specific which papago folder to change? in organic then which ?cause i change my papago cacat...can open but cant press menu all and the screen only middle..lol in organic folder itself - rename the highest reso folder. And do the same to the highest reso folder in the subfolders - CHT, EN, IND and MY. To avoid the incorrect words of "X" as in 240X480 etc. I just modify the number and avoid retyping the "X' itself coz i am not sure the "X" is case sensitive or not.

anyone tried connecting a 2.5" mobile HDD with the OTG cable? is the power enough for an external 2.5" hard disk? I am thinking of using the following setup, dun know possible or not: 1. Connect the OTG cable to a USB hub. 2. Connect a SD card reader + mobile hard disk to the USB Hub. 3. Transfer file from SD card to the mobile hard disk. If the normal USB Hub not enough power, use a USB hub with power adaptor can be the solution? Need the above setup to backup photos taken with DSLR when going on overseas trip. Thanks.

QUOTE(mydragoon @ Nov 14 2011, 01:38 PM) so many sketches now... lolz... i guess note changed the way communication is done. waveweaver, to me, is first to post sketch here... hahaha... anyway, digi website -- note is out of stock. wow... that's means DiGi sold whatever stock Samsung allocated for them. During the roadshow at JB last Friday, i think more ppl sign up DiGi than Celcom. Celcom did not have the RM2,088+prepaid package in JB. Added on November 14, 2011, 1:50 pmQUOTE(mydragoon @ Nov 14 2011, 01:41 PM) actually... so many ppl asking abt this and that... why dun the experts just provide paid service -- rm50 to setup papago, rm50 to root, rm50 to etc... rm50 is decent to cover transportation (taxi) & a cuppa starbucks... haha... everyone need to start to learn somewhere. This thread is a good starting point to learn and explore the Note for all users. Money can't buy the experience. This post has been edited by Cynox: Nov 14 2011, 01:50 PM

QUOTE(benny888 @ Nov 14 2011, 02:37 PM) I don't think is possible without a powered USB Hub. Even connecting directly a USB 2.5 inch harddisk ( formatted in FAT32 320 gb need the harddisk to be powered) However if you connect to a USB hub and plug in a USB thumb drive, the NOTE can still detect the thumb drive ( I tested with Kingston 16 GB) thanks for the confirmation - will scout for a good powered USB hub now, any recommendation? Bring an additional power adaptor is way better than bring a laptop on a sight-seeing trip.

QUOTE(daryl020189 @ Nov 14 2011, 04:06 PM) mine is smooth so far..maybe cause that is display set..many apps are open and apps installed mine is quite smooth too but there is really a lag when press on power button or the home button to wake up the phone. It takes as long as 2-3 seconds to show the lockscreen if the phone is left idle for some time. My Desire HD shows the lockscreen instantly when power button is pressed. But do like the feeling of physical home key - i miss it since I upgraded from Desire to Desire HD. Having it back on Note is really great.

QUOTE(rhoyo @ Nov 14 2011, 04:15 PM) u buying the the contract one package anyway do u feel like that holding small phones a bit harder once u have this phone . i find it difficult lolz.. man this phone is so large .. can make people go i just like trollface them hahahaha yes, can't get huge enough..haha. The 5.3" and S pen is the main reason for my upgrade from Desire HD. All those dual-core and other tech not relevant in my upgrading. my desire HD looks small now and my wife's desire looks like old small Nokia 8850. QUOTE(rhoyo @ Nov 14 2011, 04:40 PM) for me it was the pen also . its like the old 5800 nokia thingy .. ah the good old days .. but now im kinda worried cause got no Screen protector . and my finger a bit oily .. the flip case in my opinion a bit hassle to use .. @sai .. the phone is like firestonez posted .. my smartphone before Android were the Palm Treo - 600 and subsequently 680. So using a stylus is so natural to me. QUOTE(rhoyo @ Nov 14 2011, 04:47 PM) i find the flip cover a bit annoying . especially if u put in on ur jeans .. definitely will open the flip case .. u guys got the normal flip case or the bling2 flip case when it is in the jean, how the flip case will open? i got both normal and bling bling. But using the normal one though. Not really like the flipcase, will get a pouch and use the default back cover without the flip.
