i7 would be a better choice lah! but IMO bigger RAM will play more role hmm.gif upgrade to 8GB. depends on your budget too. Running these softwares on i5 is not a problem at all. It performs very well IMO but definitely better with i7 due to its quad core but at a higher power consumption (bad if u r on the go, battery dependent) & will it be worth the 800 diff? doesn't matter if money is not a problem lah brows.gif . so the choice is yours biggrin.gif can ask for sifus opinion here as well.

Hello all,

i also have a asus n55sf and i like it a lot but today i had a problem that is realy getting on my nerve.

Yesterday i played skyrim as usual with no problems and i hibernated the pc then today i started the pc and noticed that it took longer than usual to start but still it worked like normal. Then i tried to play skirim and bam... the game was ridiculously slow and i was like wtf is this then i rebooted the pc. Tried it again and same thing then i donwloaded the newest drivers and tried it and still loooow frame rate. This problem is present in some games but not on others and i realy don understand it x_x

If u guys can help me i'd apreciate a lot!
Thx ken.

it depends which priority you put first... If you go Mac mainly for it's design, then i suggest Asus/windows laptop it's more practical. If you are going for Mac for it's graphic editting apps then Mac all the way. icon_rolleyes.gif If u can do a Hackintosh then you will have the best of both worlds minus Apple's design hmm.gif well I don't know if anyone here in this forum have done Hackintosh on N45/55 series... anyone who knows how are welcome to share. Considering to do Hackintosh xD

Yes,u can do a dual boot with Mac OSX and Windows but not all hardware r compatible.I did it with my old Acer laptop.Succeeded in installing and boot in but no sound,no wifi and lagging condition.U used something call iBoot or Kalway to help u install the Mac OSX.

U can check hardware compatibility list here:

A43V
-Cheaper
-No USB 3.0
-No sub-woofer
-Weaker graphic card

N45/55 SF
-More expensive
-2 USB 3.0 + 2 USB 2.0
-Comes with sub-woofer
-Better graphic card
-Bang & Olufsen Speaker

U judge it urself. It's up to whether u r willing to fork out few hundred bucks more for the extra features.

I played it on high and had good frame rate also with other games. Thing is i just hibernated the pc, nothing more and sudenly almost all games have low frames. From what i tested nfs the run, anno 2070, skyrim and league of legends all were set to high and worked great and now they dont but moden warfare 3 still works on extra, it seems that for those games the one doing the rendering is the intel board Oo and for mf3 is the nvidia.

I realy dont know what to do...
