Hi n45sf Users and Sifus..
Why does my CPU / turbo monitor keep on turboing all night long / non-stop boosting between 2.83Ghz and 2.88Ghz after few minutes of Windows start-up and during any idle time since couple days ago?? is it rosak already due to gaming or any other apps caused this?
Anyone experienced it ??.. can it be fixed or need to reformat??
i dont want to use throttle stop app anymore as it has caused my turbo to stop working ago!.. hehe..
Hello hello! Haven't dropped in here in a while.
Anyways, I've gots two laptops now.
i7 N55SF, and DV6-6001TX.
Alright, so....reviews reviews.
First of all, might I say I'm having two lovely ladies here with me. And as I'm typing here (on my DV6), the N55 looks absolutely sexy (although, the DV6 is sexy too, mind you).
Lemme give this to you in a somewhat.....side by side comparison yeah?
Now, for the feel and build of the laptops. 1. DV6 has a Dark Umber Metal finish, which is a tad hard to notice, but noticeable under certain angle of lighting. Beautiful nonetheless. The hinges are somewhat...questionable at times since the gap is pretty wide if I might say so. Fingerprint magnet, but good all the same. Gotta take some time to get used to the wiping off everything everytime moments. The touchpad has a border that lights up beautifully, but sometimes can get rather annoying. The vents are messed up if I might say so, since there's one on the upper left corner of the laptop, and a few (useless) ones at the bottom. I'd rather take off the bottom panel for some extra cooling. Oh and did I mention the HP logo that lights up? Yeah, it's pretty hot.
2. Then there's the N55. Black Piano finish, sleek, sexy, it's basically ripped right out of a James Bond movie. The side metal panelling finishes it with a touch of sophistication that makes it absolutely incredible. The smooth, (rubbery?) texture of the palm rests are not to my liking, but the touch pad does integrate with the whole package nicely. To make it clear, it has a feel of....secrecy and attraction that just makes people want to....touch it. It's incredible.
Then, the speakers.
1. DV6 is using Beats Audio speakers (which are kinda shitty in my opinion). Up near the hinges and at the front, right and left. At max volume, the treble is amazing, though it can't handle the bass, which sucks for me, since I listen to rock and all. So an external speaker is best for me. It's small, a tad too conservative to my liking, but hell, nobody wants to listen to that shit you're playing right? So keep it to yourself with a headphone or something.
2. Bang and Olufsen pretty much says it all. B&O are THE choice of speakers for Audi cars, so I know it's good. And lemme tell ya, it's freaking fantastic. Orgasm in my ears. HUGE HUGE HUGE speakers for the N55, makes the laptop seem somewhat thick. The design of the speaker grille is fantastic in my opinion. At least, they made an effort to design it, no? It's a good effort that pays out.
Next, the keyboard layout.1. I cannot stress enough how much I love the layout for the DV6, although there are minor...details that I just have to point out. Chiclet, beautiful, simple, easy on the eyes. It's like a skirt, long enough to cover the assets, short enough to tease you. Though the one thing I absolutely hate...is the stupid arrow keys. Did I say that the arrow keys are stupid? Yeah they're stupid.
2. Messy. The media keys disturbs me too much. Although, I'm sure it just takes a while to getting used to. But it just feels, so meshed together that it almost pains the eyes.
Enough of that, let's get to the meat of the subject, yes?1. DV6. i7, 750GB, 8GB RAM, 6770. It was not very heavy-laden with bloatwares, and it was easy to handle (as what Acid teaches me about the F11 thing). The screen is beautiful if I might say so. At maximum brightness, I absolutely love it. Movies or games, it handles very well. The fingerprint scanner puts a better sense of security for me and the HP TrueVision HD webcam is somewhat...sad. It's beautiful, sure. But it's not very.....for-chatting-with-girls....its more of a...I-don't-give-a-crap-about-you kind of webcam. Overall, if you know what you're doing, it's a beautiful laptop to get.
2. N55. i7, 750GB, 8GB RAM, GT555. Bloatwares are....on a killing spree. It's heavy, it brings everything down. Only choice, fecking fresh install of Windows. And that's about it. Screen is about the same as the DV6, bright, clear, crazy reflective though. Games...I'm not so sure what the problem is, but certain games are just....not very compatible with the N55. I might seek help here soon when I have the time. But til then, the webcam is about the same as the DV6 as well.
Anyways. Both the DV6 and N55 are identical in my perspective. There are the pros and cons of each laptop, but when it comes down to choosing between the two? Well, that is left up to us to decide, isn't it?
For those who are tl;dr kind of guys. Let me put this simply.DV6 - Can you see the Dark Umber Metal strip-teasing for you?
