Cannot, when I press Escape and go Squad,I can only assign skill points for Shepard only.I guess that's the downturn of importing ME2 save file.Erm....5k war asset?Use cheat engine to modify the value? tongue.gif

N45SF problem is fixed by flashing to latest bios and underclock ur core clock of gpu to 630Mhz. Everything works just fine. But if the new N45SL then not sure. But i think so far no problem. For ur second questions, it depends on individuals one. For me like i own N45SF with 1366x768 i'm ok ady. For 15.6" some ppl would prefer 1600x900 for better resolution for movies/games and such
*
I see... ok, thank you smile.gif
btw, how do you flash bios or underclock the gpu core?

Hi everyone, new guy here. I have a few questions to ask the n45/n55 users here...

1) Do problems still persist in the n45sf model? Thinking of getting it, but all the rumors about its issues really made me think twice.

2) Sorry to ask a noob question. The 1366x768 and 1600x900 displays, is there a significant difference? I heard the n55sf comes with 1600x900 display and i5 at rm2899, while other laptops provide i7 quad for the same price but with the usual 1366x768, so I'm a little indecisive  hmm.gif
Thanks a lot  smile.gif

you can go for the older model at that price, only thing is the graphic card will be lowered. i was offered a 1600x900 GT635 unit, but i changed it to 1920 x1080 unit with GT555 in it. give and take lo.

for flashing part, u need to go asus website and download a software call winflash. Then download the latest BIOS from asus website also. Then just run winflash, browse for the bios file and let it run. Be sure to put in ur battery and adapter at the same time in case of blackout. If anything goes wrong during this process then really major hurt to the laptop.

for underclock part, just download MSI afterburner. After install it and run it, u'll see some bars at left side for u to drag. The default core clock should be 675. Just drag that to 630, then bottom there click apply then u are good to go

is underclock effect much on the game performance? or just slight downgrade?
also i notice your i5 is 2410. mine is 2430. I also saw some with 2450. quite confusing.
Asus come out with many spec? I just worry i bought non-malaysian laptop, ie AP set etc.
will it effect warranty?

Do a clean format perhaps?I am using N55SF and the first thing I do when I got it is do a clean format, reinstall back Windows 7 and install all the drivers from the driver dvd,not from Asus website.

agreed icon_rolleyes.gif .. all my unfixed ordinary-fixable problems can only b solved by just recovering back my OS.. then those problems won't exist anymore.. i dont know why... very the U.F***ing.O.. hehe unsure.gif anyway.. i still love my n45sf performances and im still using the default GPU core speed settings without any major problem till now.. icon_rolleyes.gif

mine one is the first batch one so it comes with 2410 only. Now all new batch with at least 2450. Underclocking part, it won't affect game performance, coz all the cards are overclocked by asus ady. Default clock for gt555m suppose to be 575mhz only. So even if pull it down to 630mhz its still overclock lol
