Hmm saw the game play of batman and mass effect 3. Batman is like assasin creed imo, u can jump here and there.. look abit hard to play to me. lol..

all these games can be played at max resolution (1600x900) settings?

I'm using N45SF for almost 2 months already. Updated GC driver and BIOS to version 223. So far encounter no prob. Only prob is when playing NFS The Run. The Game keeps hanging after I finish certain races. I'm not underclock my GPU yet becoz I can still terminate the game from task manager. I have no other prob whatsoever even when playing FIFA12, Alan Wake, BF3 and so on. Only NFS The Run. Also confused becoz it using the same FrostBite2 engine like BF3. Maybe some problem with the crack. 

Btw htpkevin, our laptop model EOL edi? Just know this news. Any particular reason they stop selling it?

my woofer is not working,althought i have Realtek's latest driver installed(got it from Asus Support website),any ideas?it was working perfectly fine before i clean format.

Why my speaker sound buzzing for unknown reason, and when I restart my laptop(n55sl), it become normal again? izzit sound driver crash?it happen sometimes..help!

anyone still playing Skyrim? a few days ago, as i was playing suddenly the game freeze for a few seconds, but before that, everything was smooth.
nowadays even in a fight, the game would suddenly freezes for a few seconds.

all other games are ok, no problem. i've tried :
- upgrading my BIOS to 223
- install the latest Nvidia driver
- update the game to the latest release.
- increase VGA clock
- decrease VGA clock
- reinstall - with/without mods

but nothing works, seems a Graphic card bug. any ideas how to solve? been looking everywhere for a week for a solution. but no one has the same issue on an N45sf.

What's the difference between Nvidia 635m and 555m?
Is i5 enough for heavy gaming? or i7 is more recommendable?
I'm playing games like Crysis 2, Skyrim, Diablo 3 (Just can't wait!) and BF3.

Hey guys my N55SF is dead.

When I start Windows... the desktop isn't finish loading, BSOD.
When I start in safe mode, the desktop will grind to a halt.
When I start startup repair, it cannot do a system restore...

BSOD failed to do physical dump with error code 0xC0000010

It's found that the hard disk disappears after minutes of booting up in safe mode. The laptop is bought in last December. Guess tomorrow will take to Lowyat for warranty.

Anybody having the same problem? Before this catastrophe the blue screen gets more frequent...

I seriously hope it is not HDD problem... I can't backup anything now. My music, games and epic videos are gone!

hmm? but I'm pretty sure that's white for ordinary N45SF. The Jay Chou version should comes with some blue stripes or something like that.

Hello everyone! I've been viewing these threads now and then for quite a time now ever since I bought my ASUS N45SF around 7 months ago (here in the Philippines), but this is the first time I'd be posting here. 

Just to give everyone an idea on why I've decided to come here... I sent my unit to the service center last April 2 for speaker and thermal pad??? replacement due to obvious problems (cracking sounds + cpu/gpu temp up to 90+ when gaming). They accepted it and replacement parts for its repair are still on the way, or so the say, and will arrive April 23. (Bloody long and awful waste of quality gaming time, really  )

So I'm here today to ask for some quick tips 'cause I'm planning on doing a clean format after I get it back. I've already read quite a handful of the conversation in these threads to grasps some of the ideas you have presented; however, I still have some clarifications:

1) I've read that it's reasonable to not deplete your battery completely. Leaving 30%-40% then recharging. Also, it's advisable to remove the battery pack during gaming sessions and depend solely on adapter power to prevent circuit problems and overheating. IS THIS TRUE? Btw, I read somewhere that you have to deplete your battery completely at least once a month in order to keep it health. If so, how do I do it? Because I can't seem to accomplish it using Window's Power Management 

2) If read about the BIOS problem with the N5 Series and its conflict with Optimus Technology. Since I wasn't able to cope up with the discussion with this thread , I'd like to ask if there has been recent updated BIOS that solves this problem so that it won't be necessary to disable Turbo Boost by setting CPU only up to 99% performance. 

3) What are the latest stable and necessary drivers you are using? Mainly for the GPU...

4) For doing a clean re-format, what are the necessary bloatwares that I can not be without? 

5) Any other vital information I should be aware of?

6) I forgot my other questions... so uhhh I'd just ask. May I be welcome here as well? Please!
