QUOTE(thomstho @ Mar 7 2012, 10:27 PM) Hey bro. I understand that you have reviewed the latest Polo GTI. I have booked a 5 door unit and it's coming by late June. Just wanna ask if there's any different between the 3 door and 5 door in terms of space, driving dynamics, etc? Which one would you prefer? I was planning to change to 3 door cuz I don't carry passengers very often. Regards. I have only ever driven the Polo GTI 5-door; and not the 3-door. However, I believe that the only difference is really only with the doors. Some will argue that the 3-door will be more taut, but in a car like that, I believe barely noticeable. If you don't carry passengers very often, I would strongly suggest you go for the one with fewer doors - looks marginally better, and is a smidgen cheaper. Can consider it as a supplement for your first few tanks of fuel (of which I have no doubt you will be driving it fairly hard). Hehe.

Saw this in Bangsar last night. There is a VW roadshow in Bangsar Village II today I believe. They were setting things up when I was there. Dude with the keys was a bit of a douche.

QUOTE(dewVP @ Apr 3 2012, 01:34 PM) [/spoiler] And what makes you think you can do that? Who are you? One thing I couldn't stand is how you keep reposting your photos on the same topic. Not just here. Clearly that most of the time you posted, no one cares here in VW. Maybe it's just me, but take your attention somewhere else. It's a bit annoying. I rest my case. You can reply back my statement if you want, but I made my point. Thank you, and bye.

Anyone in here ordered the Mk6 Golf R? I'm still waiting for a unit from VGM; I was told the schedule is being planned, but I've yet to see it. I'd love to have it for a couple of days. Been wanting one ever since I drove one late last year. Priced way out of my league, though!

Mavik, when I asked some of the development engineers on why they used the EA113 engine in the Mk6 Golf R, they said that this wasn't the case...
A little confusing for me.

@Mavik, yeah, I too read about that before. From the same website, I believe(!). So imagine my surprise when I tried asking why the EA113 mill was used in the Mk6 Golf R and received the response I got! Don't think later batches got the EA888. Will try and ask VGM next time I see them just to get a bit more clarity.
@DaBestOne I've actually seen a 1.4TSI 'Roc in this colour in KL before. Suspect grey import?

QUOTE(BL!Tz^_^ @ Apr 3 2012, 08:50 PM) r3 bro, i think i saw this pic in one of the local car magazine. Really? I don't remember contributing any pics of VWs to any local magazines... any chance you could help me check to see which magazine this is, and if it was exactly this picture they used? QUOTE(phas3r @ Apr 3 2012, 07:47 PM) keep it up with the pictures. i'm okay with it Thanks bro. Of course I did not mean to offend. But I can't stop what others might think! QUOTE(BL!Tz^_^ @ Apr 4 2012, 11:03 PM) i didn't buy that magazine. it's evo, either february issue or march issue. Oh yes, I was with the folks from EVO; we were part of the media invited to Wolfsburg late 2011. And yes, I believe their pics were published in Feb 2012 -- @Mavik, I've also read that there were inconsistencies with the engine cover, especially in Australia. Perhaps it was just that...

So, earlier today I picked up a Passat CC R. This car packs quite a mean punch! 300PS/350Nm and 0-100km/h in 5.6secs; certainly scared me a little.

QUOTE(fr0sti3 @ Apr 14 2012, 02:28 AM) So how's that quattro/4motion handling? Superb. Absolutely superb. Looks a little... plain, though. Btw; word is that the CC facelift will be in July 2012. This post has been edited by r3kahsttub: Apr 15 2012, 03:49 AM
