Are you in a Polo GTI? If so, the RCD310 unit has a black/white wording compared to the blue/black in the TSI... I think.

Either way, the black/white is much, much easier to view compared to blue/black.

Took a video of the Polo GTI before. That thing really is fast.

That was a VGM unit of the Golf R? If so, I'm quite surprised they brought the silver Talladega wheels, instead of the gloss black ones:

I am looking forward to possibly getting the Golf R for a couple of days when it finally launches. Would be a fantastic car.

In terms of price, what I've heard is under RM300k. And no; up till now, no solid launch dates.

Depending on condition (road/track, etc), the RS250 might have a slight advantage under certain conditions. The two should stack up pretty close to one another, but I would still go for the 4WD Golf R... just a personal preference

Holy crap. That is one badass accident. Didn't know the Golf R was a 'supercar'... I personally wouldn't call it that!

Anyway, I spoke to some folks last night and can confirm that right now, VW are working on pricing. Still no launch date yet.

With new of the Mk7, looks like the Mk6 Golf shelf life is now quickly counting down...

All that aside, I'm still looking forward to the R.

Mavik is correct on his statement; I drove a grey import Golf R (wrote about this here) on KL roads and also in Wolfsburg late last year. Those had 270PS and 1-100 sprint was dispatched in 5.5 seconds.

Thanks dude! I didn't have an iPhone mount up until when I tested the BMW X5. Am working on getting the Golf R and Passat CC R-line for a couple of days, and I will definitely have some videos up
