RM 58 is cheap!! I think I know where is City Vet. When I brought Hepy for 1st jab at Pets Family, the vet only checked him physically. I didn't know need to do blood test, etc. She checked on Hepy physically and said Hepy is healthy and normal.

my Hepy is 3 months old now - i give him hard kibbles too. Didn't soak and he neva choke himself. He doesn't eat like a greedy pig but he bite bite bite first then baru telan. When i bought him home, he was 2 months plus and i gave him hard kibbles already. His teeth are starting to grow - can see white lining .. hahaha .. Cute!! I wonder how he looks like when all the teeth are fully grown.

Oh yea, when I had my first shih tzu last time .. he was 3 mnoths old and I gave him hard kibbles too. He ate like a hungry monster - scary!! But he neva get choked too. Sometimes, he eat half way, he will kentut one .

When u take ur shihtzu go grooming next time, try ask the groomer not to cut the front into U (terbalik it) shape again. Leave it long and tie a knot in front - nicer look . And hor, if you keep that part long, the hair won't poke ur shih tzu's eyes and there won't be much tear too . Cute shihtzu you have there!!

junnie, how u train ur pup to pee poo at newspaper ?? I failed to do it with Hepy - so down. Sigh!! I can't estimate his pee poo timing and he jz pee or poo whenever he feels like it. This morning he took his breakfast and took hsi dinner and until now still have'nt poo at all. Sigh. I really can't estimate his pee poo timing at all.

Hepy is 3 months old now. Going to take his 2nd Jab on 22nd May. I got keep his daily routine up to date in MS thread . Today he did something which really made me super angry. First time in history, he peed a hell lot on my bed. My tilam was 1/2 WET by him . So sad and down. I had to wash my tilam and let it dry under the sun (dunno for how many days) - sigh. I'll try out ur method.

So, basically, ur method is just to put newspapers at places where Hepy likes to pee?? is that right? Let him know he needs to pee poo on newspaper. Is that right? But after I put a stack of newspapers in the tray, I got cover the newspaper with floormats to prevent him from stepping his own urine wor.

No digestion problem ler. He eats like normal and drink like normal. Last time my shih tzu also same problem. Kenot predict the timing one. That's why I very xian mu all those ppl who can predict their dog's pee/poo timing and those who managed to successfully housebreak their doggies.

Hahahahahaha ... headache right?? Causing lotsa chaos and headaches at home if like that.

ur Fifi how old liao?? Or is it all puppies don't have exact timing for pee poo?? Last time my shihtzu (3 months old) is worse than hepy. That fat shihtzu never make it once to the tray at all - sigh!!

This morning I leash Hepy and put him near to the tray ma. I wetn to bathroom to gosok gigi. I came out, he pooped about 30 cm away from the tray . I got take him to the tray and let him smell his own urine and poo smell ler. Why he still dun want to pee poo inside the tray ler??? So geram ar. I really duno how to housebreak. When i take him to the tray, i ask him shee shee, he dun want. He stare at me and smile . Then when I left the room for a few minutes, he terus pee poo on floor next to the tray. He just don't want to go to the tray!!!! He will not dirty his own little feet in the tray ler coz I put floormat on top of the newspapers.

joanelooidog .. during the first few weeks when u were trying to housebreak fifi, did u feed her INSIDE the cage OR OUTSDIE the cage ?

my doggie can tahan one whole day after meals also never poo .. hahahaha..

Will it be too late to start to train now since he's been with me for like so many weeks?? He's like dun dare to pee poo in front of me coz sked i scold him. He always wait until i'm not in my room, then there he goes.. pee and poo on my floor . How do I make him love the tray??

Last time when my shih tzu barks, I cane him and it works for me lar. But don't cane so much .. later the dog when see u will cabut one. I caned my shih tzu few times when he barks for no reason ... after that he go tht emessage. IF he bark, he'll get caned. So, everytime when he started growling .. jz like goin to bark liao, i say "shss!!".... he fast fast keep quiet. I dunno lar but it works for me. Luckily my Hepy doens't bark that much ... ahhaahah .. can say totally no barking at all. So, i din cane him at all except ONCE the other day when he go pee on my bed.

joanneloidog .. ur method will work or not ar ?? I'm trying it out. I jz fed my hepy dinner and I put him at the tray there after he makan and minum. I sat there together with him. 30 minutes liao, he still haven pee poo yet.. jz lookin at me. 10 min earlier, he sat down on the tray and i made him stand up again. His legs xuan liao ler .. he's whining and crying liao .. how ar ?? . Should I jz be stern and don't care him. Let him whine until he full as long as he pee poo .. then baru put him back in cage ? He's whining and crying liao coz his legs very xuan. Jz now he want to drop his ass down already then when he look at me, he fast fast lift up again but he still havent pee poo yet wor. He's been standing for 40 min ady and i noe his legs super xuan jor. Should I put him back to cage or i should jz continue until he pee and poo ?

Added on May 8, 2007, 5:38 pmLMAO. WHen i walk awawy, my shih tzu got bark and whine. Then I'm at livin room there and his playpen in my room ma. I said "Luckyyyyy .. shssssss....". He stop lor. hhahahahaa .. need to be consistent lor. After some time, he'll know he's not allowed to bark . I hardly let them go to kitchn with me. THey don't play with the dustbin in my room one.

Added on May 8, 2007, 6:12 pmHepy already stand for 1hours and 20min but he hasn't pee poo yet. He stand until he leg super xuan already. when he sat, i make him stand again and he bark like crazy. Should I have mercy on him and put him back into cage or continue the process.

Sigh ... 2 hours liao, he still din pee poo at all. I put him back into cage liao and I doubt he will pee poo in cage either I felt so bad ler .. jz like torturing him like that .

Can someone else please share another method on how you train your puppy to pee poo at newspaper? Something like joanneloidog's one .. with timing.

So far blackwood puppy works the best for me. Last time I used NutriEdge and the poo was super smelly - unbearable. Then after I changed to Blackwood puppy, now his poops no more smell ady and he also din kacau me wake up to clean up his poops middle of nite anymore .

As with stepping over the pee thingy, I put floormats on top of the newspapers. That should solve the problem of stepping onto the urine.

Last time I used to roll up newspaper OR use hanger to hit the playpen or door loud loud when he barks. Everytime he does it, then I do it to frighten him. Sometimes when he showed no response to it and ignore the loud bang, and continue to bark for no reason, I'll use the hanger to spank his ass once. And then take the hanger point at his face say "NO" loud loud or "SHSS!!" loud loud.

ya .. maybe she want u to clean up the mess lor. Just like MS also like that one middle of the nite. After he poo, he'll bark or come kacau me wake up to clean up the mess. You must be stern and loud when u scold him. And use one word like "no" or "shh" when you scold him. Let him noe when u sasy "no" or "shh", you mean kenot bark.
