DK82 .. urm .. r u sure Pretty was in bad shape when u got her from the first owner?? I happened to go to Ikano and I went to view the doggie. She was fine and neat and tidy. That guy's gf groomed her and she looked very neat and tidy and clean too. The environment where Pretty lives is good too. But yupe .. they fed her with alpo, which I htink isn't that good. And Pretty showed me some tricks - sit, come, roll over, stay, etc (forgotten). That guy wasn't the original owner of Pretty. He got pretty from his friend and he kept pretty for few years. Then he needs to work outstation and he posted for adoption hoping to get good owner for Pretty. But now that Pretty is in the hand of Digitral, it's good. He's a good dog owner.

QUOTE(DK82 @ Jun 20 2007, 11:40 PM) With a respect to the previous owner, I think I'll leave out the details when I first got her. But I'd say, it is obvious that You haven't 1) look under her fur 2) felt her rib cage yet... i felt her rib cage but didn't look under her fur though. Sorry for the misunderstanding and dont' worrry about Pretty. I'm sure Digitral would be a good "mommy" to her. QUOTE(jaunty_niel @ Jun 20 2007, 11:41 PM) ya, think so too. Becareful with feeding wet food ler. They'll get addicted to it. Last time my friend's maltese would only eat caesar and it burnt a big hole in my fren's pocket i wonder where did i pampered them.. *sigh* or i'm too easy 2 get bullied by dogs? dunno y they din like eat. 1st time i giv them straight after getting orijen from WP, they ate 1 bowl. da nex dat whole day oni 1 bowl, but slowly not eating. so gave them a lil wet food to campur wif the kibbles. now doing good. |

QUOTE(crazymouse_yyh @ Jun 21 2007, 10:20 PM) Start good teeth cleaning now. No need to wait till the dog has all the permanent teeth. Later is going to be harder to clean. Just use wet cloth with diluted baking soda water can already ar ?? Then no need to buy toothbrush and toothpaste lor ..Use a wet cloth with diluted baking soda water, it works well. The tooth paste for dogs smells weird.... and it is made of baking soda as well. Just rub the teeth after every meal. Wetfood and cooked food is the biggest caused for rotten teeth. This happened to my shih tzu, every year we bring him to vet to clean his teeth last time and it cost around RM100 to Rm150 each time.... and each time the vet needs to pull out 1 or 2 teeth coz too rotten.... So..... don't risk it. I spoiled my old dog that way so now I know do not ever give wetfood. So stressful coz the vet will injection the dog to be sedated, then he will pull out the tongue, stuck a tube into the throat so air can go in and the cleaning process is not fast too.... |

Wahhhh ... getting cheaper and cheaper!!!!!! LOL!!!! I think i'll go and check out the shop that jtl mentioned. If kenot find, then I'll go to the shop that crazymouse mentioned
Oh yea .. wanna raise a question. The baking soda, can I mix it with water until it becomes very very creamy? Then apply on toothbrush and brush its teeth? I think use toothbrush is easier to brush than using cloth? Give me some opinions coz personally, i've never brush his teeth before and I dunno how to brush either |

jaunty, i think there'll be marking for territory if you have 2 males at home. Last time jtl told me, if i have 2 males at home, then i need to neuter both the males. If i neuter one only, there'll still be marking of territory. Jz my "RM1" .. hahahaha.
