Not really. 5MP picture, even with my Nokia N82 (nokia picture normally have larger file compared to other brand like SE @ equivalent MP, don't ask me why though) also MAXIMUM 1.5MB. 4MB/s is more than enough. HD video bitrate max out @ 10Mbps (for phone) which is around 1.25MB/s. Sufficient too. Even 1080p playback also enough (~20Mbps/2.5MBps) Using class 4 won't be a big issue here.

You normally see a Number (2/4/6/10) circled, on the memory card. At least kingston one have such thing. Older memory card(Compact Flash) use x instead of class. Ex. 133x/200x...

just to check, when i plug in my headset, it does not show the headset icon which normally shown in the screen, like in my HTC Sensation also show the headset icon .. Did any1 encounter this ?

Btw, i m using 16gb class 10.. so far i have no issue on transfering data or watch movies..

for those who are planning to buy microsd cards, you might or might not want to get a big one because you don't get to use your microsd for game data such as gameloft's data unless you root. You might be wondering why. Its simple - the Galaxy W (along with other similar samsung phones) have 3 different storage locations:

- Internal Storage (phone storage)
- USB Storage (/mnt/sdcard)
- External SD Card storage (/mnt/sdcard/external_sd)

Most games including gameloft game's store their data to /mnt/sdcard which is where you are only limited to 2 GB of it. Say you install asphalt 6, then need for speed hot pursuit - that takes up about 1 gb already..you're left with another gig for other data.

Your external SD card will NOT be used for this purpose and can only be used for gameloft data if you root your phone and run a script to do some mapping or linking (if not mistaken).

Therefore, your external SD can mainly be used to store videos, photos, music and other data files that u wish..and also you could increase your internal storage space by moving from internal phone to SD card (external SD card). that's all you can use the external SD card for. So don't think you could install like 10 gameloft games when you get that 8 gb or 16gb microsd card - you CANT.

Please take note of this and TS - please put this up in the first page so pple are aware of this.

AFAIK, there is no 'register online for 1 year extra warranty' option for Samsung (there is for HTC). It's either 1 year or 2 years (SEP). The registration has to be done by the seller. If Samsung Service Center cannot find your product registration details, they will follow the date on your receipt.

So cheap!!!!!!!!!! Pay RM12 then can get all that @ 1080???

Does it lag if I use a 32GB microSD class 4? How long does the battery last if I only use to make short calls and SMS? Planning to get one soon. My only doubt from getting any smartphones are the battery life per charge.
