eh guys i know you're all enjoying your new phones but plz tell us prospective SGW users here about the GPS and other qualities.. camera.. and stuff.. what did the package include?

for those who are planning to buy microsd cards, you might or might not want to get a big one because you don't get to use your microsd for game data such as gameloft's data unless you root. You might be wondering why. Its simple - the Galaxy W (along with other similar samsung phones) have 3 different storage locations:

- Internal Storage (phone storage)
- USB Storage (/mnt/sdcard)
- External SD Card storage (/mnt/sdcard/external_sd)

Most games including gameloft game's store their data to /mnt/sdcard which is where you are only limited to 2 GB of it. Say you install asphalt 6, then need for speed hot pursuit - that takes up about 1 gb already..you're left with another gig for other data.

Your external SD card will NOT be used for this purpose and can only be used for gameloft data if you root your phone and run a script to do some mapping or linking (if not mistaken).

Therefore, your external SD can mainly be used to store videos, photos, music and other data files that u wish..and also you could increase your internal storage space by moving from internal phone to SD card (external SD card). that's all you can use the external SD card for. So don't think you could install like 10 gameloft games when you get that 8 gb or 16gb microsd card - you CANT.

Please take note of this and TS - please put this up in the first page so pple are aware of this.

most if not all games that downloads to "sd card" folder. this means you're pretty much limited at the moment to what you can have but 2gb is pretty good to have about 2-3 decent games already (gameloft ones).

but... correct me if i'm wrong, it's not EXACTLY 2GB right.. it's like.. 1.8GB or less right? and if we install apps and gameloft stuff inside it.. and leave the free space left to about... 300MB? Won't it lag the phone?

Still charging and replying thru the W. Best buy i ever made.

getting one for my wife too.. but senq no stock already lol.. its RM949 after member discount.. waiting for the stock now

RRP is 999, you should be able to get it anywhere between 790 -> 999. Check garage sales section to find out the best bargain.

Thanks for the info. 790 sounds really good, but I am staying too far from Tropicana City Mall...

just get the galaxy w for around 1 hours,, test many thing,,, camera, skype video, 3g video,,games,,,, all working well,,,  just not so satisfy about the camera performance,, why look so blur?? 1 more thing where to check the battery level?
