Yup, i did contact the dealer. not sure whether is you or not. My ride is persona 09. I install the item by following the instruction from the dealer and always keep the firestorm avoid the water contact. After this incident, the dealer ask me drive my car to his shop to show them. But I'm in JB now and he also willing to exchange it One to One if I drive my car to his shop but....it's the same item again. He also can't tell what cause the fuse short. Hence, I decided to remove the firestorm in order to avoid future fuse failure.
Ok. I found out the real story already.
Your elder brother bought the Normal Firestorm Booster from a dealer in Sungai Petani. He installed in Tesco Sungai Petani about 2 years ago according to the dealer.
Just not too long ago your brother contacted the dealer asking to change the Booster to the Filter because your brother said the fuse blown a few times in that 2 years he had the Booster.
The dealer said can only change the Booster under warranty but if your brother wanted the Filter then can give him a special price for return customers. In the end after a lot of disagreement the dealer also changed the Filter.
The dealer tested the Firestorm Booster and confirmed nothing wrong with the Booster but out of goodwill he changed another Booster for your brother. The dealer used the Booster that your brother claimed had the fuse blown 3 times in his car without any problems until today.
There is no way that the 20A Yellow fuse can burn out. I have a case where the customer installed in the wrong fuse socket and the car electronic circuitry that supplied power to the fuel pump drew about 15A current caused the Firestorm Booster to overheat and deformed but the 20A fuse still cannot blow out.
So if you say your brother had the fuse blown out 2-3 times then the Firestorm Booster will be open circuit already and definitely wont be able to function anymore. But the dealer tested and confirmed nothing wrong with the Booster.
I have said many times before that I am the promotion and marketing arm for the manufacturer of the Firestorm products and I have all the contacts and info on all dealers in Malaysia. I will know the truth once I make an investigation into the matter.
So as I understand from the dealer that your brother said his car was in KL and even after getting the Filter he did not immediately install into his car. Maybe he installed after some time later.
So this whole issue was created because your brother wanted the Filter instead of the Booster which he bought about 2 years ago after he heard we had launched the Firestorm Filter.
I believe we must be fair that we tell the truth and not take advantage of the dealer's goodwill to get what we want in a wrong way.
Our dealers have always stood by our Firestorm products warranty and will replace any faulty unit after we have tested and confirmed that the product is faulty. No one will replace a product if it isnt faulty, not for handphone, computer or any electrical devices.
This is now a clear truth about the matter and I hope that all my existing customers and prospective customers are reading this and understand that we are always fair in our dealings with our customers.
Cheers.
