Leopold looks good but how is it for gaming? I get to choose what switches I want?

I already have no strength to answer this question... this seems to be "THE MOST FAQ" in mouse and keyboards....
I think mod cyclone can add this in the first post... There is no such thing as Gaming Grade mechanical keyboard..... doh.gif doh.gif

That doesn't make them a "gaming" keyboard -.- its just a keyboard with extra macro keys and softwares created by them are purely gimmick -.- furthermore macro keys are banned in competition, and yet they still claims the macro keys help the pro gaming team in competition blablabla, its purely gimmick, wake up son.
*
Bro kEazYc you have answered the question for me too!!! notworthy.gif
QUOTE(kaiserreich @ Nov 12 2011, 03:54 PM)
The Rapoo V7 must be the best Gaming Keyboard in the world  tongue.gif
The provided software allows you to program macro into every key.
*
I smelled sarcasm..... sweat.gif sweat.gif

IMHO, actually if can try use the mouse or keyboard without software, because with that, would have less problem or issues arise from the compatibility..... plus, no software, no software crashes.... laugh.gif

QUOTE(Human10 @ Nov 13 2011, 07:32 PM)
That may not necessarily be true. This is Malaysia and our products(normally) are known to be more overpriced.

Therefore, I put by bet on over RM330 RRP. whistling.gif

The possible causes(no offence to anyone sweat.gif ):
1. Dumb buyers - If one is dumb enough to pay higher, I don't think there will be seller dumb enough to reject it.
2. Greedy sellers - A thing is priced at the price the buyer willing to pay.
3. Low population in Malaysia - In China, their things(IT accessories) can be 1-4x cheaper than Malaysia, cause they having super high population.

The rest are gone as well in 30 minutes.... how the hell we can buy? Plus, it's one keycap per customer... if can buy multiple ones, can add the cherry mx tri-color skull keycap (maybe this time is christmas edition) for me?

Quite interesting or useful for those who use POS(point of sale) programmable keyboard. Squarebox had one(or some).

Here may be some source for it.

does these sprays last forever long?
*
I dont think it will last forever, even for any coating as long as you use the keycaps... due to friction and abrasion, any coating will eventually fade....

I think it'd look ugly if you paste acrylic to the sides of the roof.
Maybe use some opaque plastic like how bird electron do it for the HHKB and Realforce KB roof.
*
It would look ok if you shape it to match the curve of the roof....
But yeah, even plastic would do... as long as the side is covered laugh.gif

After using mechanical keyboard for a few months, I found my WPM increased from ~85 to now, it's around ~98-110.

Many people say that mechanical keyboard doesn't really help your WPM. But I think once you get used to your keyboard, your WPM can go up quite high.
*
me now using membrane max is 84.........
i think is due to my typing style.... as i didnt use all my fingers..... need to train the recommended touch typing style....

I doubt he/she is using normal keyboard/layout....
*
There is no normal keyboard layout, only got the qwerty or dvorak or some others, then it comes the US ASCII, EURO, JAPANESE, CHINESE and etc....
QUOTE(lucidlts @ Nov 21 2011, 11:10 AM)
if she/he's on QWERTY layout, wow.

If she manages it using Qwerty, then she is pure awesome....
but the guinness world record holder (also a woman, forgot her name, can check in wiki) manages to type 150 words per minute for 50 minutes.... that is INSANE........

SS7G is goodingly built with superior quality(except keycaps). Some ppl even try run a truck(4WD) over it and it is still functionable(partially, LOL).

However, if you are not diehard need for the Steelseries branding, audio ports, USB 1.1 and gigantic wrist rest, there is also lots niceĀ® and much cheaper alternative out there, especially Leopold brows.gif .

BTW, I don't think SS7G still cost RM550(SRP) as in last year I already saw many retailer sell them at below RM480(cheapest even below 400). IMO, SS7G is really an old model and I think it almost reach it's EOL or revising dy.

Even take out the LED, Race still seems more poison than Noppoo Choc Mini(may be cz Choc Mini is quite old dy? LOL).
Race is more ergonomic(the profile seems really smooth from R5 to R1), where as Noppoo's is sharp changes like ladder.
Lastly, I really like the 4 bigass arror keys.
*
the big arrow keys are there... with the sacrifice of the right shift......... unless you type without the right shift key.... if not then the design is good to go....
