Next project during next month,

stabilizer + Fork oil change + tighten handle

Main purpose to reduce vibration and increase the abs functionality at the front area. I hope successful.
Do recommend the fork oil to use, how ml to pour?
Do enlight what to adjust in order to make my handle is tight (uneasy to move left and right so much)

TQ guy.

You wanna DIY?

Suggestion:
  • Open the fork tube cover to measure the top of the oil where it reach. if you notice both side not same, that explains why the head wobbles when you cross a bump.
  • If wanna stiffen it, add 10-15ml of std yamaha fork oil and test run it few weeks.
  • Until you satisfied, invest in branded fork oil like motul or silkolene. 15W for std, bigger number for lighter just like EO.
  • Remember the fork oil level and fill it up to that. Ride it few days and measure again.
  • I use RM6 local fork oil.

ok got it from tech sheet.

std 0.064L for each side with 10W fork oil.. will adjust it into stiffen area.
left the handle question.. Im not so sure where to adjust in order to reduce left right movement.. rclxub.gif

@alexei,
I'm always DIY my lc135.. rarely send to workshop unless it's related with sprocket, tire and bottom overhaul.. because of tool insufficient

save a lot of money in term of workmanship and part plus get know well for the motorcycle..

  • The main nut on the top of steering cone.
  • You need to unlock the top lock nut, then tighten the bottom one, and then refasten the lock nut.
  • The steering should be able to turn freely, if not the bike cannot balance naturally.
  • Overtighten and you need to change steering cone bearing set real soon, and this one definitely need to send kedai.
