could it be the gamer OSD software from ASUS thats causing the crash ?

Pics and the exact error messages you get. You are probably the 1st ATI user I've seen having issues.

Also, why can't you guys place all ur troubleshooting in a existing threads???

did you overclock? This game is the most demanding game i ever play - it will stress your computer like hell. I need to downclock my 4Ghz OC to 3.4Ghz, DDR3 1600Mhz to 1,200Mhz and GTX570 down a bit to avoid game not responding/crash. Haven't got time to really troubleshoot whether it is CPU or RAM or GPU that coz the crash, so i just downclock all just to play. Will relook this issue again during weekend. hmm.gif

My 4Ghz OC setup work like a charm with BFBC2 at highest setting except not enabling HBAO.

.

no overclock... i guess this is the issue. will try it out ... i want to know if anyone else is also experiencing this problem with ASUS cards. hope this fixes the problem. haih

UPDATE!!

This is a confirmed FIX. I just played 6 rounds in a row, switching between 2 servers, every round loaded perfectly.

I cannot say whether or not uninstalling ASUS GamerOSD will fix the other types of crashes, as I have not had any of those issues. However, if you do have an Asus with this program installed, and are experiencing other problems, try getting rid of it.

Woot! Finally I can play without issues, good luck to you all and I hope this fixes things for at least some of you.

yes, some unrelated program will cause the game to crash. The weirdest one i heard is Microsoft Office!! Some reported the game crash fixed after they uninstalled MS Office. sweat.gif

all placebo effect.
maybe for those users MS office is always running in the background, so by uninstalling they free more ram, when what they shouldve done is check for background services running tongue.gif

Problem solved! GamerOSD was the problem causing the crash.

Asus needs to come up with some new drives for this game. now my GC doesnt have fan control so its running hot.
