Bro, I update adi. Kernel shows XXKI4. Android version is still 2.3.4. Is this correct? Thought should be 2.3.5 where battery usage is better, no? Thanks in advance.

I think you got the wrong KI4. There are 2 KI4, one is 2.3.4 the other 2.3.5.

IMHO they should change the whole assembly. Otherwise, stuff might go wonky as the whole thing is tighly wired together.

5.1 mb. That is only kernel la. You need the whole rom file which is more than 200mb.

Put link to stock kernel 2.3.5. Now I think only got 2.3.4 only.

Hi there... i'm newbie for galaxy s2... i have a prob and hope ur guys can help me:

i'm recently connecting my s2 into pc but cannot connect it... i have search all the forum for the answes(include lowyat forum) but cannot solved it.. maybe my sense i feel it hardware prob.. i have use a different way such as:

1) enable debugged mode(but fail to detect)
2) disable debugged mode and try to connect- failed also..
3) try instal usb driver for mobile phone(1.3.350.0.exe) but cannot execute it(because it windows system,not apk)


do i have to hard reset it to back to normal??? TQ....

im download now 50% to go

in the last v, i remember an owner said he (or she) could play 1080p files bigger than 4GB. i was kinda surprised coz i tot all these time, android os (due to file system) can only recognise up to 4GB (or so).

so i tested with a 1080p movie about 9GB. played on sgs2... and surprise... can wor... but i din enable sound, so not sure if the sound was ok. will test again later -- it was just a quick test. but i think the video was not really running at normal speed. it seemed like frame rate (i think that is the term) was lower...

still... i'm just surprised i could play that file.

i was using mobo player. in mobo player, it showed the file as 1000+k (around there la).

guys.. after surveying lowyat, ebay, clove, even korean g market this are what i find out about the bat
1) lowyat.. cheapest is 140(should we try to bulk order him n get more cheaper price)
2) ebay- genuine with code and works with international s2 model 18+
3) clove stock early november
4) cheapest but i am afraid the battery works only on korean model with nfc and anthena

u guys have other place to look at...
