Leolabs Nwavguy o2 impressions/comparisons
Setup = Sansa Clip+, Hifiman re262, Soundmagic PL-30, O2 amp, Govibe Mini Box Amplifier
Clip+ and re262
>Re262 sounds thin, bass is anemic, highs are dull, mid is the only thing present. Overall, the sound presentation is like looking at the sunset through a telescope. You can hear the voice, but the rest is cut off. Notes sound like they are covered by a thicket veil.
Clip+ and Govibe MBA and re262
>MBA has V-shape sound according to some other reviews. So bass is slightly empowered but not a lot, (even my soundmagic pl30 has more sub bass), highs are more prominent and mids have retained their position. Overall the sound is better defined. Notes are revealed by going under the blanket. But its a bit dark under the veil.
Clip+ and o2 and re262
>The sound is clean, squeaky clean. Govibe mini box has a tested THD+N of 0.008% which i consider pretty good. But the o2 has THD+N 0.0016%. I can hear the subtle differences and realize it is too clean. I like my songs a bit dirty, rugged and rough. They sound musical in their own distorted way.
Bass is sharp or tight, compared to the MBA (honestly prefer a bit of messy bass).
With o2 its like listening to your friend talk in a sound tight room, there's no fan, or fridge sound running in the background. There is no air or space between me and the vocals. It sounds like the sound is coming directly from the instruments without having any interferences.
Highs are sweet and unobtrusive. The veilis lifted and what a sterile sound it is. Everything is revealed and nothing is left hidden.
Leolabs did a good job making the amp and delivered it fast.

Thank God these are made for the ears and not the eyes. Joking, they aren't too bad looking.
They have wings too but why can't they fly?
