QUOTE(kianweic @ Nov 13 2011, 09:22 AM) ooo nice can complete my alien breed collection liao haha. QUOTE(Savor_Savvy @ Nov 13 2011, 12:17 PM) it would be best to avoid cd keys selling sites with cheaper than normal cd keys. unless they are legit, like green man gaming. |

QUOTE(Savor_Savvy @ Nov 13 2011, 12:17 PM) There are some cd key sites that do sell legit keys. How it is cheaper is that they buy from regions where its cheaper, like Russia, and resell them.I've never use cjs before, but I've bought Battlefield 3 from cdkeyhouse. and it works just fine. But as far as I can tell, both cjs and cdkeyhouse are the most reputable ones. There are many other cd key sites online, but I wouldn't recommend them. Some of them sell at an even cheaper price than these sites, and they turn out to be stolen. Its up to you of course. Just remember that if something is too cheap, then you should stay away. Last I check, converting Russia's game price to USD results in 50% of US price, so keep that in mind. If something is much cheaper than 50%, its probably too risky. |

Steam 'Has Nowhere to Go But Down,' says Analyst
![]() QUOTE When it comes to digital distribution, Valve's Steam is a juggernaut. There are 35 million active user accounts and over 1,400 games available to download, and Valve has built up a loyal and active community fan base. That said, there are numerous competitors in the space and Electronic Arts seems to be pushing hard to make an impact. EA has said that it's not in competition with Steam, but recently the publisher took a big step forward with Origin by signing other third parties, including Warner Bros., THQ and Capcom, and just the other day EA CFO Eric Brown talked up the advantages of Origin as compared to Steam. IndustryGamers chatted with several leading analysts about EA's Origin push and how it might affect Steam, if at all. David Cole of DFC Intelligence doesn't see much room for Steam to grow at this point since it already controls such a large share of the market, but he's not so sure Origin will be the service to grab share. "So it makes sense that new would be competitors would pop up AND publishers are willing to try out those new distributors."
hmmm if them publishers tried out new distributors, found out new distributors suck, and they earn more monies with steam, they probably use back steam right? or ... once you go steam, you never go back? |
