QUOTE(Cheesenium @ Nov 2 2011, 12:46 PM) lol. So i guess procrastination isnt that bad after all. I tried to play Tyrian on my iphone, gawd its awful. Gonna buy it on GoG to relive the one of the most addictive times of my gaming history. Try Jamestown. A decent top down shooter.

You can get Tyrian 2000 for free at GOG. Just need to register an account. The game is already free, but GOG advantage is it has been tailored to run properly on modern machine. Definitely one of the best in it's genre. So much upgrading, variety of level and enemy. Added on November 2, 2011, 2:51 pmQUOTE(talexeh @ Nov 2 2011, 11:12 AM) Correct me if I'm wrong but the one from Steam is in MP3 format right? High chance it was mp3 file since 320kbps is always related to that format. This post has been edited by Angel of Deth: Nov 2 2011, 02:51 PM

QUOTE(kianweic @ Nov 2 2011, 01:45 PM) Try Jamestown. A decent top down shooter. I think Jamestown is more the competitive high-scoring bullet hell game than the customizable jet-fighter like Tyrian. Jamestown's all about highscores, you can only progress to the last level on Legendary difficulty, and got really tough as nails. Tyrian's more forgiving kinda shooter, your jet's upgradable the more you progress. Same goes to Gundemonium Collection.

Unfortunately, I could never get my arcade stick to work on those two. It works on Jamestown though and it is heck a lot of fun to play on arcade stick.

QUOTE(justnits @ Nov 2 2011, 04:29 PM) gundemonium collection?? wat's that?? Gundemonium Collection was originally a series of Japanese Hori Doujin shmups. Then they got ported to the PS3 and the PC. It's not as polished as Jamestown or even some other doujin shmups you can find for free online, but it's not bad for 3 games in one. Not advised to get, all three games didn't really get good reviews.

I bought Raptor on sale and the simplistic gameplay still holds up today in my opinion. And who can't forget the soundtrack man!

You can buy directly from Battlenet. Or you can just get a old copy of Diablo 2 (retail copy) and activate on Battlenet.

Geneforge saga for USD15.99.
From the screenshots, looks like a traditional RPG.
