QUOTE(GameFr3ak @ Nov 7 2011, 11:57 AM) sigh.. why does cat pee on bed? Is it a territorial problem? It's a male cat btw maybe the smell of pee is still on the bed, so he pees there when he smells itWill I solve this issue if I got him neutered? neutering may or may not help do you have any other cats? how many litter boxes do you have and where do you put it? |

QUOTE(GameFr3ak @ Nov 7 2011, 04:57 PM) ok ill tell more in detail. okay so when litterbox is dirty, he'll pee on your bed. that's understandable.I went on a trip for a couple of days, so i got my good friend to take care of him. First 1 week, he's all fine, pee & poo in the litter box. Then the next week my friend told me 2 occasions that he peed on his bed. 1. My cat was ppooping half way then he open the front door he rushed out wanting to go out... (I suspect cats around the neighborhood, maybe even female cats) 2. My friend smell something wrong with his mum's bed then found wet surface on the blanket, peeĀ My cat did the same once in my home, on the bed as well. That was when I forgot to change the sand of the litterbox. Too smell I thought. But both above situations are with clean new sand. I've only got 1 Litterbox.... My home is a condo so there's no cats around (I think, not sure about other floors). So does getting him neutered will fix this issue ? I think it might be some kinda territorial issue, my friend's house used to have a stray cat sneaking in to his house. It's a male as well. Maybe coz of the scent? but even when it's clean, it only happens at your friend's house? if yes, that he was probably freaked out by the other cats and wanted to scent mark his home. cats sometimes pee where they shouldn't when they feel stressed/insecure like I said, neutering might be able to help, but all cats are different and some might not stop. but i'd still recommend you to do it anyway. my cat used to spray for no reason, then after neutering he stopped btw, also wanna recommend everyone to read Vicky Hall's books. She's like the Cesar Millan of cats This post has been edited by verulin: Nov 7 2011, 08:24 PM |

QUOTE(jovyn @ Nov 7 2011, 01:11 PM) lol....really look the same... my cats used to scratch my sofa, until I provided scratching pads then they stopped. good looking....but notty like sial.... nowadays he likes to jump here n there up to our sofa...if jump nicely, im ok la....but he use his claws to grab hold of him....my poor leather sofa.... how to stop this behavior? you can either buy one, or make one yourself. I find that my cats prefer cardboard ones. take a look here at what I made http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.1...05590344&type=3 you can sprinkle some catnip over it to make it more appealing to stop the cat from scratching the sofa, yell "no" or spray a bit of water to punish him. then praise him when he uses the scratching pad and you can keep his nails short and blunt so the scratching won't be so bad This post has been edited by verulin: Nov 8 2011, 10:30 AM |

QUOTE(__mill @ Nov 10 2011, 10:56 AM) this is nice! so just cut the box and gulung & glue only right? might want to do this on the weekend yes it's very simple. just have to beware of cats suddenly sitting/sleeping on the sheets of cardboard and refuse to move tips: -you can sprinkle catnip onto it to make the cats love it more, but you'll have to cut out a base and stick to the bottom so the herbs won't fall through the holes onto the floor -make it big enough for the whole cat to stand on. if it's too small, the cat's hind legs will be on the floor while the front legs are on the pad, making it very hard to scratch because the pad will slide around Added on November 10, 2011, 6:51 pm QUOTE(elfreakz @ Nov 9 2011, 09:13 PM) and cats seem to like DIY stuff better hahamy litter box also DIY. just bought a cheap plastic storage box(cheaper better because the plastic is soft and easier to cut) and cut a 'door' on one side. I prefer it over store-bought because the sides are very high (prevent litter from flying out), and no need a cover (imagine going into a very stuffy toilet with tiny windows...eww) This post has been edited by verulin: Nov 10 2011, 06:51 PM |

QUOTE(__mill @ Nov 14 2011, 09:01 AM) I just used normal glue, the type in a big bottle with a plastic spreader on the lid. maybe the cardboard you're using is very thick and hard, if that's the case, making it rectangular would be easierif you want to be on the safe side, either buy the non-toxic type of glue, or make your own using flour and water |

QUOTE(__mill @ Nov 15 2011, 10:30 AM) a'ah, the box is quite thick, ok i'll try find the glue in hardware shop.. if use flour n water can stick very well? lol the glue i used is from stationery shop.i've never used the flour glue before, but have read about it QUOTE(D_L @ Nov 15 2011, 03:56 PM) hi all..i juz got my 2 months kitten 2 days ago n i managed to toilet trained her...i didn't use any litter sand n i notice that sometimes her feet will step on her pee whenever she wanted to do the scratch thing after peeing...will dat can be avoided if i use litter sand?...i took the kitten from my auntie n she also didn't use any litter sand...she juz put a tray in the toilet n her cats will do their business on it...i think i've bought medium size litter box n do i have to upgrade the size too? if you use sand, the cat can cover her business, so she won't end up stepping on it again.the 'scratching' is to cover the poo and pee with sand This post has been edited by verulin: Nov 15 2011, 09:19 PM |

I sometimes give my cats some egg too. doesn't matter if it's hard or half boiled. 2 cats share 1 egg
I didn't notice any smelly farts, or maybe it's just cz I wasn't around when they farted haha |

QUOTE(mhyug @ Nov 22 2011, 07:52 PM) is it possible top teach adult/teen cat do the biznes in litter box?or this is very very impossible? depends on individual cats, but most cats instinctively do it on sand. I've seen stray cats doing business on piles of sand on the roadside.just put the cat's poo on the litter sand and they'll usually understand very quickly |

QUOTE(OctoberFly @ Nov 27 2011, 10:02 PM) My cat vomitted clear fluid with very very little fur. I saw her vomiting and she's like very susah wanna vomit like that. Is this furball or what? Because I'm kinda scared. After she vomit she ran out and ate all the leaves on my flower plant maybe she ate something that made her sick, or has stomachache. cats will eat leaves to make themselves vomit out the bad stuffif it goes on for more than a day, better see a vet and what plant is it? some plants are toxic to cats |

question here, is it advisable to use both apple cider vinegar and fish oil as supplements at the same time?
