My cat vomitted clear fluid with very very little fur. I saw her vomiting and she's like very susah wanna vomit like that. Is this furball or what? Because I'm kinda scared. After she vomit she ran out and ate all the leaves on my flower plant sweat.gif does she even know what she's eating?!

Hey guys, it's been a long time since I post here...

Is it normal for a cat to sleep whole day long? Like from morning until night. She does pee and poo, she eats and drinks. I feel like day by day she sleeps more.

She doesn't like to even play with me anymore. She'll just sit on my lap and probably lie down and sleep. Is it because she's getting old or something? T____T I'm quite in distress.

I posted about my cat not using the litter box to poop before. (she only use it to pee).

It got better after I get a second litter box. I found out that if there's pee-spot in the litter, she will not use it to poop. BUT if there's a poop in the litter, she'll still use it to pee.

It's like so mindf***ing. And she doesn't like the bigger litter box. I figured out that it's the location but my house is small and I can't afford to put it somewhere else.

SHE STILL POOPS OUTSIDE THE BOX for no reason at times, and because theres pee spot most of the time. I can't afford to clean it 24/7 because I have class sometimes (the whole day until night).

Oh and she also doesn't poop in the box if I ignore her for too long or I don't have time to sayang her.

=/ I am at the verge of giving up in training her to use the litter box.

p/s: and i found out that she doesn't know how to 'cover' her dirty jobs in the litter. Unlike other cats, she doesn't even dig the litter sand. She just go up and go down like it never happened.

help please? notworthy.gif

that is harness. when she was a baby she cannot wear harness as there was no size, so i put the shirt on her until she become bigger and then i put harness and leash. My cats are always on harness and leash since we live in flat and to avoid them from accidentally jump and escape.

For harness and cat tshirt need about one week training.
[attachmentid=3027864]
In the pic Anje is milking Omei, for these two which dont know each other,  i need about 3 to 4 weeks before they can accept each other.
*
ohmy.gif I live in flat too but i never put anything except recently a collar with a tag incase my mom accidentally let her out and forgot to let her come in (she'll only linger at the front door and will come in very quickly).

Is it like really necessary to put on a harness and leash to avoid her from jumping out?? My cat doesn't seem to want to escape at all sweat.gif but i can be wrong

They juz turned 1 year old last september...juz a question here..is it normal for a cat to have big tummy(boroi) sumthing like dat...normally i feed them 3 times a day but when i saw their tummy becoming like dat i changed it to juz 2 times a day..its not too big..juz they have like xtra fat hanging from their tummy..they are on feline caviar diet btw..juz don want my cat to be obese..as u can see in the picture...other parts of the body i can say still normal..only have xcessive fat on their belly..neutered the siamese(male) and not yet for the other one..
*
I adopted a cat 4 years ago. she used to be real skinny but after I took care of her she blooms... she doesn't look obese now (maybe slightly fat) but she has these horrible fat hanging from her tummy too!

I'm not sure if she had babies before and that's why her tummy is sagging, but i heard... that if the cat is neutered/spayed it would have some tummy as well O_O

one of my cats has it too. i read somewhere that it's more like extra skin and not fat, so they can jump/run better(hind legs can stretch more)
but there are a lot of diff opinions. try Google 'cat belly flap'
*
oh your theory makes sense. but i don't think my cat is utilizing it shakehead.gif all she does is sleeping and walking xD

so smart heart isnt the best of options ehh, very opposite from what they advertise.

what dry food is good for the cat??mine is on a main stay of fish, organs/meat and occasional dry food.a bit worried now that my sister bought smart her for him(tho thats not fed always only 1 time per day). or dry food is just simply not good to be fed always to a cat?? hmm.gif
*
I feed blackwood biggrin.gif it's not a top food but i think it's better than smart heart....? thats just my opinion.

i heard that dry food will help to keep their teeth clean. normal wet food if fed everyday might cause decay wor...... (i heard)

anyway once awhile I'll give my cat some meat to eat... but everyday I just feed her blackwood smile.gif

Thnx, he doesnt seem to vomit anymore but still doesnt wanna eat.. really difficult cz i have no experience in taking care of a super sick cat..  sad.gif

I used to have a sick cat like that too. He couldn't sleep nor eat. Be strong kay! I'll be giving you moral support!

Make plenty of visit to the vet and update us about it k? I heard that cats are emotional animals. They would feel loved if you sayang them; and if their owner are sad, they would feel depressed too. So don't be too worried ok? maybe that will encourage him smile.gif

I'm sorry to hear that... but as you said, he's now at a better place. He wont be pain anymore. He can run freely and eat as much as he wants now. You can come back here whenever you want right? Just take some time off. *hugs*.

I once lost a great cat too... I thought I'd never have another but I picked another cat on the street a year after. I'll never forget my first cat. Get well soon neome. smile.gif

QUOTE(gennee @ Dec 17 2012, 09:55 AM)
Hi all,

About 3 days ago, a stray female cat gave birth at my neighbour's. For some reason, she (the female cat) decided to move her kittens to my place. When i found her, she was hiding in my shoe rack, so, i made them a place for her and her babies to stay; a box, with an old towel, a bowl of water and some kitten food.

It was ok for the first 2 days. On the 3rd day i noticed the female cat is away for a longer period than usual. As i was away yesterday, i told my brother to keep a lookout for the female cat and it seems she hasnt returned since last night.

Im worried for the kittens. Pls tell me what i should do.

Thanks!

Update:
Mother cat didnt return. Kittens have been crying all night.

should i bring it to the vet? i'm really worried.  unsure.gif
*
That's sad to hear. I hope the mother cat is alright. I know it's been like a week.. not sure if you brought them to the vet. Prolly u can get them vaccinated if you want to... and give them away if you don't wanna keep them. They need to be fed cat milk that can be found in pet stores.

QUOTE(ashyxt @ Dec 23 2012, 04:18 PM)
is it a good idea to hospitalize my cat (much needed hospitalization) in a clinic that is not cat-specialized? I mean the ward has no cats, only dogs sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif

she's my most most most beloved pet and I am so afraid, sad and lost right now.... sad.gif sad.gif sad.gif
*
I don't think that's a good idea. is there no other clinic that you know of? But just because the clinic has no cat doesn't mean they're not specialized in cats. most vets are specialized in both cat and dogs... and also plenty other animals.

i just spay my male cat. this is the second day. it look like only only his left scrotum are shaven. look like the vet took out only one testical. is it possible? but i read the testical will appear swollen in the first few days.
also from youtube, i see the vet will make incision on both side. but my cat only has one. any of u have similar case before?
*
Sometimes testicle removal is not necessary to neuter a cat. Try to wait for about 2 weeks. If the testicle shrunk a little then everything is fine, else... try to well... touch it and see if you can feel a baggage in the scrotum. If you do, you can find the vet back and demand an explanation.

Hye..new member here....adopt my cat 5 months ago and is having a difficulty to eat. Sometimes have to suap him the kibble with hand. Just change his food from Iams to Eagle Pack yesterday. Got any other brand that you guys wanna recommend?

I also don't know what breed it is...His name is kikidee~ smile.gif
*
How come he's having a difficulty to eat? sad.gif is it because he can't bite or he can't look down to eat?

QUOTE(verulin @ Dec 31 2012, 11:40 AM)
I think what Octoberfly meant is something like vasectomy (used for human guys, it involves cutting the tubes from the balls so the sperm cannot go out). But usually neutering male cats involves taking out everything (cos hey the cat's already knocked out, might as well go all the way and remove all the stuff since they don't care anyway.)
From neutering surgeries that I have seen, only 1 small incision is made between the 2 scrotum and the balls are pulled out thorugh that hole. you'll see an empty sac left behind which may or may not disappear. My 2.5 year old male cat still has the empty sac left behind; it wasn't absorbed. he was neutered in early 2011.
*
ah yeah vasectomy. My bibble had the same thing. I could felt his balls back then after neutering but after a month or so it slowly disappear. The sac is... still there tough but seemed to have shrinked.
I'm not sure but he still have the hobby of riding the females ._.
