Don't you guys think it's SUPER stupid for the SIRIM and whatever else sticker to be stuck on the back of the Lumia 800? It totally spoils the image.

Why iPhone doesn't have to undergo the same 'uglification'?
*
iphone's sirim sticker sticks at the warranty/service card if not mistaken...
agreed with you.. it makes the phone look ugly... and also the distributor's sticker also there... doh.gif

I'll just give them the receipt, they really can't expect the sticker to still be there under normal use. The case is too smooth for the sticker to stay, and also.. it's so exposed to the elements.

Also.. did you see the OTHER sticker on the back of the SIM tray?
*
yes.. there is another sticker there on the sim tray...

Added on February 19, 2012, 12:00 amany apps recommended for wp7??

This afternoon.. I tried to view my galaxy nexus and lumia 800 at the same time under direct sunlight...to my surprise... the screen on my lumia 800 is much more readable then my galaxy nexus even I put my galaxy nexus on full brightness... the nexus is just only merely can be read....
Now I start to love my lumia 800 more....

any specific reason goin for wp7 phone?
*
If you want something smooth, stable and unique... go for wp7..
But if you like to follow trend, more apps and games... for for either iOS or android..
You will feel disappointed if you go for wp7 once you found out no apps or games for you... and... you can't install apps or games other then purchase and download it from marketplace...unlike iOS and android....

Simple and straightforward answer for you: iPhone
As generally, it will satisfy most general users.

If you want something different and want to enjoy integrated social networking: Windows Phone, e.g. Lumia 800

Don't go for Android:
1. Can you stand if you want to make a call, the phone doesn't respond or slow to respond?
Now imagine this: Someone ask you to call someone, you take out your phone, trying to dial and the phone didn't respond, give you the infamous "Force Close" or "Wait" option.
IF you're patient, you can wait.
2. Can you stand if the phone is slow? If it lags? I don't think you can.

So, I strongly suggest you don't think so much on Android and you may have less choice to consider.
*
To be fair... I never face such issue you mentioned on my previous 3 android devices... and now my nexus... maybe that's because those who face that issue have mod their phone firmware or installed some custom firmware.... if you just use it as it is.. everything will be working fine...

The map is the same and the only thing I found a cons in Nokia maps in lumia is you need to connect to the Internet to search for places can't work offline,
*
Yeah... Nokia drive also the same... hope Nokia can make it offline...

doens't count laugh.gif

anyway, by holding 'back' button, you can see what's in the background...is this consider as multitasking, like symbian? or those apps in the background will close automatically?
*
i think is something similar to what iOS did.. it will pause the app when touch the start button.. and when you launch back the app.. then the app will continue from where is pause.. correct me if i'm wrong...

1. I got many need to delete; Possible to select multiple?
When I transfer contact from N9, seems it generated many "unnamed" contacts, inside have no details.

2. Thanks a lot!
There's something nice to it (for Windows Phone that is); but the previous Windows Mobile and Pocket PC also using 2D-ish (but more older fashioned type), which looks like old generation Windows 3.11 era

Anyway, it's still simple and sleek.

Still faster than DiGi after cap, faster than dial-up speed too?
For non-unlimited data plan, after quota, the charges are much more reasonable and less than Maxis too; It's per MB instead per KB.
*
of cause is not faster than digi smartplan 68 after cap.. but is comparable to smartplan48 but smartplan 48 is 1gb quato.. and yes... is faster than dial up.. if not mistaken, dial up is only 52kbps.. tongue.gif
i'm just giving out a suggestion/alternative... not to compare which is good or bad...

The messaging via Im is awesome very simple and fast another flaw can't send offline message beside that it's great. Even the ui look web based but it look sleek unlike android like on Sgs ii abit cartoonish. The wifi connect also very good even it disconnect it reconnect instantly without issue. Waiting for them to do like belle shortcut button for wifi access, mobile data on/off

Don't worry  when u reach like 70% or 80% maxis will send you an SMS. When u reach your limit it will also send you an SMS.
*
yea.. agreed.. don't really like the ui on the sgs2..
anyway.. unless you are a heavy web user or always stream song/video from internet, you will hardly exceed your monthly data quota. i'm on maxis 1gb plan... average just using around 300mb permonth...

Look forward to see you to join the club

like u said 100 customers maybe today that particular shop is 99 customers and christina1 is no 100? No harm in asking to be certain than regret losing item worth RM600
*
i think should be 1st 100 for all the Nokia Store... i think i read it some where in the thread that when the lumia series is launch.. anyway.. no harm to call and ask...

This is the selected nokia store that offered these free gift...

You can switch the phone's region and search region from settings, but to Marketplace, you are still Singapore cause the Live ID is singapore. As long as you're using the same Live ID, you can just redownload the app.
*
hmm.. but i can change my LiveID region to Malaysia from the website...
i mean i can change my LiveID account region from the live.com site...
