As usual, nothing revolutionary, just minor discounts. Good for people who do not change their carrier and phone often, but still we need to see some discounts like the iPhone plans!

This is nothing short of... WOW

1. The update is every 30 minutes, it's not instant push. Only email + certain apps like WhatsApp is instant push.

2. Should appear in your Me Tile if I'm not mistaken. I know comments under your own status will appear in Me Tile, while your friend's own status update if got tag you, will also appear on your Me Tile, but further comments under that update will not have any more notifications in the Me Tile.

Hopefully Windows Phone 8 will bring even deeper Facebook integration...

Yeah I agree with your review that WP7 lacks some very essential smartphone features, almost unforgivable for leaving them out.

But smartphones are not necessarily 'PC in a pocket' because it just works differently... They have different... philosophies on how you interact with content.

Mine was able to update without problems this morning....

Many features added, but the performance is still quite slow compared to Kik...

1. WhatsApp have. Viber coming soon. Skype have, but currently no background-services. Means cannot receive calls/text when the app is not running. Since Microsoft bought Skype, it's only a matter of time before this functionality arrives, and it will definitely be more awesome than the ones in Android/iOS.

2. Niche apps are still quite limited, for example like a Maybank or GSC app. Though popular apps are mostly there, like FB, WhatsApp etc.

Notification system really needs improvements.

Multitasking can be managed better.

Other than that, WP7 is just awesome. You will just be wowed by the design, both Nokia's hardware design and the buttery-smooth Metro UI is just... artistic. You don't look like a kid playing with silly icons. (Ha! Android and iOS users)

Does it really allow you to transfer files using mass storage? Can just put songs in like that? Weird that this new method is not getting enough attention from more blogs/XDA, it's like a big development breakthrough.

U Mobile doesn't seem to have a significant impact on the battery life on my Omnia 7. Able to get about 12 hours out with constant 3G and push on, about 1 hour browser usage.

I have a Lumia 800 to test around now, also using U Mobile, I'll see how it goes.

Hey, I need recommendation on protective case for this Lumia 800.

I'm looking for sort of full-body protection, maybe a case when I can pull the phone out easily, or maybe a case with a flap to just open it like a wallet.

Any ideas? Thanks.

Incipio Orion Sleeve Case. Supposedly one size fits all, can fit iPhone and Lumia 800. Should be good? Anybody with experience with this case?

Do note that while the cables might all be the same (MicroUSB), the sizes of their heads might be different, which might pose a problem for the Lumia 800 because it has this flap that protects the port, which larger heads might not fit in. Best to bring your phone to try.

My mom went outstation and forgot to bring her charger.

Her Lumia 800 can last 4 days in EDGE, data on but no internet usage. Minimal call and SMS, probably a total of 30 minutes in the 4 days.

4 days.

Completely depleted battery though.
