Judging from their actions, I believe they weren't medics. I assume they were race stewards that lacked the knowledge to deal with the situation.
*
they are track medics.

QUOTE
BBC MotoGP presenter Matt Roberts said: "Marco lost his helmet in the crash. The officials said that, when the track medics got to him, he was in cardiac arrest. They tried to resuscitate him in the ambulance and the medical centre.

even if the autopsy can prove his death was caused by the reckless paramedic team, i believe they will be more sugar coating on it. SIC was hold by major person in Malaysia, if MotoGP opt to get rid Malaysia from their calendar it will be a huge loss. Government won't let that to happen.

Anyway, i do hope justice will prevail.

totally unprofessional, see like overseas whenever they have this kinda of events, usually they would have a standby helicopter just for accidents like this.

Compared to malaysia, wheres the nearest hospital to sepang?
*
I read somewhere that there is a track hospital / medical centre in case such incidents happened, but not as well equipped as a normal hospital.

And the nearest one should be... Nilai Town, I guess. Not sure whether Sepang area has one. If go Putrajaya.... Would be much further....

dey, simoncelli was still alive la after he was brought into the ambulance. fighting with his live for about 40 minutes before dead.

if the noob-medic was to be blame, he would be dead on the spot they 'drop' him before they put it in the ambulance.

A knock to the head will leave you concussed. very good example is what happened to Drogba earlier this year.

Even in that situation, he was not moved. They treated him on the field, and only moved him several minutes later. Moving him without securing his neck, and dropping him after such a severe accident is just plain unacceptable. The one known fact is that he was not dead on the track. He was alive when the paramedics/stewards got to him, and was alive when they got him into the ambulance.

In the First Place, these Incompetent Baffoons should not move Simonelli... They should have waited for the ambulance and medical team to arrive... After securing him properly, then move him to seek proper medical attention...

SIC has alot to explain bcos track personel lack the knowledge and experience in adminstrating the proper Medical Procedures...

Also to drop an Injured Person from a Stretcher in no excuse!!!

personally i would refrain to judge how they should handle the situation as im no expert. possibly there's a need to rush since the official statement said he has a cardiac arrest at the time the medics get to him. no offense but i'd trust the judgement of trained personnel who analyzes the situation on site better compared to emotional fans watching a video. although the fall is unfortunate i think it's stupid to blame someone for falling especially when they are on a rush to save a person's live.
