last time i can safely say that nvidia>ati/amd but now its really neck to neck

nvidia have better drivers generally but amd is improving a lot

few things you can take advantage in a NVIDIA mobile gpu is the Optimus and their CUDA cores

Optimus = better battery life management
CUDA = not very familiar with it but you can work faster and better in multimedia with it
