The same thing happened to my roommate, he is 50kg with 170cm. He always said "I eat a lot you know...." But when comparing my meal to him, his whole day meal is like my half day meal.

When we go pasar malam, I always advise him to buy more but he said, "cannot la....I will be too full" It's just a fxxking one portion of nasi lemak + ayam and you are expecting to grow? C'mon, when I ask you to eat more, it really means more, your tiny bit of food doesn't even near to moderate for me. Take 2-3 chickens, take banana, take apple, take 2 burgers, order soya beans, take satay etc etc..

Then he will give me excuses like, "You always ask me to eat more, it's unhealthy u know...", then you expect you can grow by inhale oxygen? It's obvious that thin guy like you guys got high metabolism and obviously you need more food than other people to grow, if you feel uncomfortable eating too much in one meal, you can have 6 MAIN meal, every three hours you get one main meal(at least 500 calories). I'm quite sure you will grow. FYI: one McChicken has only 365calories. source: http://www.mcdonalds.com.my/ourfood/nutritions.asp
The ultimate goal is you need to have excess of calories to grow either fat or muscle.

Unfortunately, I'm quite sure you wouldn't follow the advise just like my roommate, that's why he is still staying in 50kg with his "I eat a lot attitude".
