Hi, New in this thread... Above is my ride... Looking for some comments here... Do u guys think it looks ok to keep this colour (aside from bumper and skirting) ? Coz wanna bring it for colour painting, but dad ask to take off all the cf sticker... Damn "heavy-hearted" to do so coz have spent a lot of time to apply and I think it looks cool... sad.gif Any comments...?? smile.gif

Hi, any Wira with n/a engine using twin pot brakes? Thinking of getting it and have asked the workshop... they say just buy better quality brake pads is enough, rather than change to twin pot coz twin pot lock tires easily unless u are using turbo engine which is heavier...

You want to change clutch plate or flywheel to 1.8 one?

if not mistaken 1.8 clutch plate can fit without doing any mods. flywheel not so sure..
if you're using 1.5, you need to change the master brake pump to double layer coz the ori is not enough power for twin pot. Lock or not depends how you press the brake, but if engine is standard the additional stopping power is not necessary.
*
Using 4g91 only... That's why the foreman say stock brake is enough... But the last time I change my pads, I've already asked for a quality one that cost me 150 include labour... I don't remember the brand... It is indeed grip better than the previous 1, but it gets heat easily... Especially when cruising at 180 and brake down till 100, then the brake performance will decrease for around 30 seconds... If repeatly accel and brake for few times, can feel brake is out of grip... sad.gif Is there any brand u can recommend to solve this prob? Thx for replying anyway... smile.gif

Anyone know what is wrong with my car? Recently fixed clutch fluid leak, engine oil leak, changed transmission oil, changed engine oil, changed engine mounts, 4 new tyres, fixed bushes, did balancing, alignment, etc. but now the car feel like no power at low gear. 1st gear will shake very badly when clutch is at bite point, starting off from stop also have to rev until 2k+ otherwise it won't be smooth. Sometimes still not smooth, can feel a wave of vibration hit the dash. Upshifting is same story. Sometimes smooth until cannot feel like last time, sometimes car will jerk. After a bump in 2nd gear, I have to rev kau2 otherwise whole car will shake.

All this happened recently sad.gif Can't be my clutch control because I've been driving it for almost 2 years without problem. Its Wira SE 1.5GLi (M).

195/50r16? ur car gt feel lost in power anot?
*
Like I said earlier, pickup can't feel different, top speed decrease around 10km/h... But, my fren told me it is not actually losing power, just that the whole tires diameter have increase, so it need more rotation... Therefore the km/h shown is decrease a little, but actually car is still travelling at faster speed... But I don't confirm how true is it as that is only what I heard... Better ask from professional... smile.gif

There are of course a minor margin of error, but it is more consistent that your speedo because it does not depend on tyre size and condition.

You compare your gps reading to several other cars, then compare the same gps device to your speedo, you will get an idea if your speedo is accurate.

Gonna try this someday... smile.gif

Changing roof is expensive... For mine, I fix the hole and apply cf sticker which cost me less than 50$... Haha... Anyway, might be better to buy urself a car... Now s/hand Wira can get below 10k... smile.gif

Need help from sifu here.... i own a 1993 1.6 wira (auto). i have problem with my gearbox. a bit slugist as i can say when change gear. my FC is 200- 220 km per RM 50 is it good ? does wira have speed limiter ? my car can only do 100kmh max.
*
My previous 4g15 also can reach 140... Sure there is something wrong with your car... Are your g/b spoilt and can't shift to 3rd gear? What is the rpm when u travelling @ 100?

Yea... eye balling ssr type C... bt the price... dunno if i should put it with my Un modded 15yo+ wira....

sweat.gif
*
If u have cash for spare, then getting Japan rims will be better... As your engine is aging and unmodded, you won't lost much power compared to Taiwan rims... If you think your car power is enough, then getting Taiwan rims is ok, coz New taiwan rims is more than half cheaper than Japan's s/hand... I'm eyeing on bronze TE37 (taiwan) too... Haha... Anyway, best to change before u bring your car for paint job... Otherwise damn Sakit hati if tires shop guy accidently scratch your paint... And it is best time to install bodykits too if u want... tongue.gif

btw, how long does it normally takes for a car to get the paint job done... i everyday pass by tat shop... i see my car gt those "brown paint" base coating i think on it... then the fella damn rajin scrubbing the car nia... macam polishing or some stuff...
*
Roughly around 1 week... The Brown colour thing is not paint, I dunno what is that called but it is use to fill in dent / waves... After applying those, they need to sand-paper it to make it smooth so that your car looks smooth when paint...

do u guys think i should get a 15" ssr type c for my 1.5wira? Will they fit the profile of my car in terms of looks... Don't want ppl thinks im a wannabe... =.= or "so*ai"
*
The terms of so*hai I will only apply to those ppl who purposely rev their car / volume up their car ICE in the crowd... Try come Rawang yc, you can see damn a lot of so*ai here... tongue.gif Anyway, get the right colour and 55" thickness profile to the 15" should be just like... Mine was like that that also before... After change bodykits only I changed to 16" smile.gif
