My wira 1.3M is engine is leaking black oil as well. I was recommended to do a top overhaul. Was quoted RM500++. I would like to know can a top overhaul solve the issue? How much usually it cost for full overhaul? My wira is 2003 car. Thanks.

My wira, one of the cylinder is out, the mechanic
did pressure test on all 4 cylinder, the last one
Did not give any value others showed 8-10 reading
He suggest to do top overhaul, hw much it cost
For wira 1.6 AT's top overhaul?
*
there is no fixed price for such repair coz it will depends on what parts need to be changed. workmanship can be around RM200. your last cylinder could also loss compression because your piston ring have worn out, thus will need a full overhaul job.

do you mean can see the part where it leaked out? top overhaul can only fix leaking valve seal and any leaking at gasket. if your leaking due to piston ring, you will need to do full overhaul.

yea, i put mine about 6 months ago, RM290 / each.
then again, safety more important than saving only a couple hundred RM tongue.gif

just wondering how often u all rotate tyres.
i do every 10k km, the shop recommends every 5k.
