nicely written ihawk98 i must add, arry not rotating players is one of the point also... players gets tired and confidence melt to bench warmers... when defoe at its finest form, arry dont make him first eleven...

to me, in form means the player does what he suppose to do. a striker judged by the ability to score and when he scored he does good. like ade he did score but most of the game he makes me pissed off when he stays on the side to collect balls instead of being in the middle as spurs plays with lone striker on top. so to me he is not in form even he scores goal. defoe have higher score rate than ade if you count by minutes played and he did more shooting try than ade in that respect as well which contributes to goal scored.
Added on May 19, 2012, 6:18 pmthe one game that i really can credited ade is the game that spurs won 5-0 against newcastle ( and we went downhill since that game, demm) other game he didn't fits much top striker role and you can compare him to VDV who plays better overall game to game compare, defoe trumps ade but the wages that spurs pay to ade didnt allow him to sit on the bench
Added on May 19, 2012, 6:20 pmbut anyway what arry should do is rotate the players which will give competition and conserve energy to the team. we depend too much to our first team this shows weakness last 2 season where spurs are playing in CL and by last quarter of the season the performance is not there anymore... surprisingly arry didnt notice that and keep doing it this season
Added on May 19, 2012, 6:20 pmby the way, cross your finger tonight lads! the decision time has comes...

Good bye CL, welcome europa league Might as well loaing some key players in d process... The second last match where we draw.is the futile chance that we lost the CL entry... Dependency of hopes with others usually not positive... Anyway, rest from PL, awaiting euro!

UEFA should bend the rule little bit. It's cruel when you look at it from different perspective. But i think Spurs player and management should know better; the importance of that 3rd place.

Nope, everton (finish 4th) also got the UCL Place but they failed to beat Villareal (i think) to qualify for UCL group stage...

Spurs don't deserve to play in UCL anyway, not by the way the team perform in last 10 match, Arry should just accept the England job, I believe he already lose it, from fan side and player, Bale will go to Barca, left back their only weak spot right now, Modric also if right offer come in.....

i dun mind Europa. Why not? Still continental competition.
And no reason for Barcelona to buy Bale once Villa is back.
Bale cant retain the ball well so they wouldnt want him anyway lol

This new ruling that affects Spurs at the moment is the result from that year when Liverpool won, but didn't finish in Top 4. They can't implement it on the same year, so that's why at that moment, they got 5 teams in UCL (Everton lost out in playoffs though).

unlike last time (signing players 5 minutes from the deadline), levy will have to move fast to convince the players he means business ... can we get a forward and defender signed before the european cup kicks off? ------------------------- QUOTE(messy @ May 20 2012, 05:30 PM) QUOTE Levy- Spurs will not sell star names
By PA Updated Sunday, 13th May 2012
Tottenham Hotspur RSS Feed
Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy insists none of the club's top players will be leaving White Hart Lane this summer.
Levy fought a protracted battle with Chelsea last summer to keep star playmaker Luka Modric at the north London club and speculation is rife that the Croatian, and winger Gareth Bale, will be the subject of strong interest again this summer.
The Spurs chairman wrote in his end of season address to supporters: "Our squad has top players at all levels and we shall continue to seek stability and to retain key players this summer and beyond. We are a club that is focusing on growth and moving forward."
However, Bale added fuel to the rumours linking him with Barcelona earlier this month when he declared he would consider his future should Spurs fail to make the Champions League, while Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has spoken in glowing terms about Modric.
Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp insists the club will end up going backwards if they sell their top players and based on his comments, it would appear that Levy agrees.
Spurs will finish at least fourth in the Barclays Premier League if they beat Fulham at home in their season finale at White Hart Lane.
Ordinarily, that would ensure Champions League qualification, but that will not be the case if Chelsea beat Bayern Munich in the European Cup final on Saturday.
The Londoners can still finish third if they better the result of Arsenal, who travel to West Brom, but many Spurs supporters feel their team should have finished well inside the top three having been within touching distance of the summit in January.
Levy insists this has been a progressive season, however, given that Spurs finished fifth last term. He said: "It is a mark of our progress and the quality of our squad that each season we now look and expect to be competing at the top of our game.
"Once again we have seen football played at home and away which has shown our brand and style of play around the world and led our competitors to describe us as the most entertaining team in the Premier League."

would have been nice if the UEFA Champions League rule is that if the champion comes from a league where they didn't qualify for next season's tourney, they will then have a playoff in august with the 4th place team to see if they qualify.
