I try not to rev past 2.5/3k, till the blue "cold engine" light goes off. Anyway gear changes are rough and jerky while that light is still on. It only takes about 2mins slow driving for the light to go off.

So what you mean is we do not need to keep the idle and warm it up? Just drive at slow pace below 3k rpm till the blue light goes off.. Well I think i can do that since the distance from my condo to the traffic light is quite long and I cant speed there smile.gif

I did warm up on all my car, from Satria Neo to Caldina GT4 to Mazda 3 smile.gif

Doing so just to let the engine and transmission fluid gets onto working temperature so that there will be less wear and tear as soon as I start off driving biggrin.gif

Bros, do we need to warm up our engine in the morning?

Heard from a friend that it's a waste of petrol and new cars model should not need to warm engine anymore... Any idea?
*
That true I read before but I still warm up until blue light disappear.

What I do is, when I start the car, the rpm goes up to 3k or something. Then it will come down. Once at idle or near idle, I start to move off, but not accelerating much. Then drive slowly till the blue light goes off.

I believe any accessories shop will be able to do it. Warranty, all depends on what u are trying to claim.

I duno how much it cost because I did it together with installing other items.

The buzzing noise maybe from the electric power steering? I can hear very soft buzz if in a very quiet place, like in a multistorey carpark with no music turned on.

Just called him.. He said installing outside is the same also if you can get back the original mazda windscreen. He can try to ask around. Yours is 1.6 or 2.0? There's difference.
