anyone noticed that when flipping in/out of the side mirrors, the motors sounded kinda loud compared to other makes like ford fiesta's or golf's.
*
It is kinda loud, but not sure how it compares to other makes. As long as it keeps doing what it is supposed to do, I've no complains.

So what you mean is we do not need to keep the idle and warm it up? Just drive at slow pace below 3k rpm till the blue light goes off.. Well I think i can do that since the distance from my condo to the traffic light is quite long and I cant speed there smile.gif

Quoted from v2, notice that there's blue light around the pedals area.... how to get this mod done ar?
*
What I do is, when I start the car, the rpm goes up to 3k or something. Then it will come down. Once at idle or near idle, I start to move off, but not accelerating much. Then drive slowly till the blue light goes off.

I think the ambient light at the pedals there are original, on the earlier version of 3 sport
*
Yes and No. The original ambient light are quite dim, so I spiced it up a little. wub.gif

Where to get this mod done bro? And will it void the warranty?
I believe any accessories shop will be able to do it. Warranty, all depends on what u are trying to claim.

How much does it cost roughly bro?

Added on October 24, 2011, 10:56 am

By the way, I heard some ZZZZ ZZZZ sound coming  from my dashboard or windscreen... I am not sure where does it come from.... it doesn't happen much and it's not really that loud either... it only happens sometimes when the road is bumpy or when i turn my steering to the right... the sound like got lalat sangkut inside, very soft only... any of you guys have any idea?
*
I duno how much it cost because I did it together with installing other items.

The buzzing noise maybe from the electric power steering? I can hear very soft buzz if in a very quiet place, like in a multistorey carpark with no music turned on.

I juz realised that my car has the front bumper lip. Been scraping that on ramps. Thankful though, or I'll be scraping the bumper.

Is this a tinting problem? Or are the stains on the outside?

Noisy in what sense? Engine noise? Road noise? Dashboard noise? Elaborate abit...

What are your stock tyres? Stock Toyos are very noisy, but performance is good.

Alarm, you can try to lock yourself or a friend in the car using the remote to lock the doors. Then just open the door from the inside of the car. You won't forget the honking.

Added on December 22, 2011, 10:55 pmActually I've only heard the alarm 2-3 times so far. Once was at petrol kiosk, I locked a friend in the car for her safety but she decided to open the door. Another time was yesterday when my battery died and tried to jump start. Battery was totally dead, could not jump start and had to change a new battery. About time though, so it's ok.

Hi bro,

I am not sure about CBU versions, but for CKD, you can trigger the "panic" alarm by clicking repeatedly on your "lock" button on the remote control.

For your info, there are "beep" sound on CKD version when you lock and unlock the car. Beep once for lock, and twice for unlock.

Just a side note, do you know that for CBU version, if you hold down 2-3 seconds on your unlock button, it will wind down your windows? Hold down 2-3 seconds on your lock button and it will wind them back up. This feature has been disabled for CKD versions. Heard that it was unstable?
*
My car is CBU, can't find a way to trigger panic alarm, no matter which button I press or how many times. And there is no beep sound for lock and unlock.
The remote wind up and down works fine on my car and is very useful for very hot days. Wind down while walking towards the car and by the time I reach the car, it is bearably warm when I get in it.

No issues so far. Not a single creak or rattle from inside the car.
Sounds like a good deal to me. Some 2009 cars have a few more features such as ATF cooler and lips among other stuff that were removed in 2010 production cars.

just sent my M3 for 40k free service.the service dealer charge me rm50 for labour fees.they claimed once reach 40k free service, the labour fee are not free anymore.is it true guys?
btw mine is 2010 cbu, got alarm and that 'beep' sound when lock/unlock.
*
If u are on the 3 year free service package, there should not be any labour fees! I've done my 60k service, everything is still free. Other than once they topped up my batt water and I had to pay like rm3 for batt water. They even gave me the remaining batt water to keep. As if I'll need it. Recently changed to maintenance free batt after the original one died.
