TINT can reduce FC???? Conman spotted....

On top of that, the Rm30 price tag is a hoax!

Did you see, they put additional charges after all that front BS.
1) to remove old tint Rm80
2) additonal for saloon can Rm100

Total Rm30+Rm80+Rm100

No longer Rm30 la.......

Please advertise more ethically, I would 100% avoid such shops which resort to dirty tactics like this.

Rm30 to tint? Tint what? Side mirrors? Chiu!

hi all...wanna ask...the flx cvt and MT...if buy MT will it worth?

Let me share with you why I bought the FLX Manual.

I am sure got many many people will start bashing my comments if they are CVT users but so what?

Manual, time proven reliable GB. Cheap to maintain and not as costly as Auto or CVT Transmission to replace if kong!
Manual, able to control the optimum gear change according to your own driving style.
Manual, much better FC.

Auto or CVT, CVT very very new to Proton. Maintenance is higher and very very costly to replace if kong.
Autp or CVT, unable to control the gear change according to your driving style. Much higher FC.

So up to you. Proton Saga CVT before even 1 year old already got so many complaints- overheat, jerking, refuse to engage gears etc....... You to like to live a challenge, go CVT. Just look at page 63 also so many complaints about CVT, but wait, just last month Proton had to hold back FLX CVTs due to some additional oil piping that needed to be fixed, didn't they know about it earlier?? .???

next is IT20 because stock sp is due soon icon_rolleyes.gif
2molo will go tesco buy engine lubricant
most probably will purchase mobil 10w-40 laugh.gif
but how to ensure the correct APE?
or all semi 10w-40 is suitable for saga?

I just took my White Saga out 11.11.11! Nice date huh?

Well was reading thru the manual, now i got shocked! The manual clearly states Engine oil must use 10w-30 or minimum API SL. If use any oil lower than API SL WILL VOID THE WARRANTY! I don't mind the API SL but whats with 10w-30? That is kancil oil! The hell i am gonna put that crap kancil oil into my Saga!

Hi I just took delivery of my Saga FLX Manual Executive this 11.11.11!. Since there isn't any review on the Manual, maybe I should contribute a bit.

Firstly, apprearances, the Solid White makes the car look squecky clean, but I will have a hard time to keep it that way though!

The new grill, headlamps and spot lights picks up from where the Saga left out from the predesessor BLM. It looks more refined as Proton has beefed up the looks division. I added 2 Daylight Running Light Leds under the number plate, hugging it near the centre. I moved away from the idea of putting the DRLs on the both ends because if I did, I had to cut into the bumper which I wouldn't dream of slicing up the new bumpers! Under the front hood, I added 2 Hella horns to replace the motorcycle horns Proton gave me. The bonnet too has a layer of sound proof heat resistant layer to cover. I chose those which were a whole piece rather the unsightly cut up pieces you would normally see before.

Personally the rear bumper and stop lights look more sexy too, showing off the tailpipe rather than hiding it in the BLM. The new addition of red reflectors on both undersides of the bumper also refines it a little bit. I added a F1 triangular stop light in the bottom centre to add the icing to the cake. I really like the red lights blinking when you brake.

The interior, the Saga now looks way more elegant than the previous Saga, those before the BLM was introduced. The LMSTs and what nots. Those cars interiors look like the old Saga came from some communist block country or something. (I had the misfortune of driving my friend's Lada Niva before.) So back to the FLX, despite the lack of a leather interior, the dashboard looks more solid, the meter panel is more pleasing to look at, compared to the LMSTs, which at one time the dashboard offered lit up in a garish red hue. Now the FLX is a white, pure white like my car. The door panels feel solid, the seat rear pockets useful, the seat itself feels comfortably firm. The steering wheel feels a little narrow, so I added a leather wrapping to it too make it feel more solid. Can't change the steering as it has the Player controls and Air Bag. The switches for the player is enough to work it. The other switches in the front dashboard is okay, only the aircon doesn't blow to the driver's legs. The Clarion Player too is quite amusing with full Mp3, USB and Auxiliary playability. If you have extra cash, you may change the speakers and add a tweeter if you wish. The top of the dashboard is too bare, and with the passenger side air bag, I have no where to put some stuff so some sticky mat and a small dashboard organiser solved that. Sadly the driver side shades didn't have a vanity mirror.

Now the drive. The new Getrag Manual transmission feels right. The engaging of gears smooth, albeit the first and reverse gears need a more firm push to fully engage it. Maybe just needs to get used to it thats all. No real problem there, got used to it after a few times practising it. The drive is quiet, the engine delivery smooth. At 3,000 Rpms, the Saga is effortlessly cruising at 100km/h. I feel the new Campro IAFM+ engine suits the Saga just right! Not underpowered not overpowered! The suspensions are relatively giving me good feedback and it doesn't feel too soft, nor too hard. I installed an Ultra Racing Front Strut Bar immediately after delivery,(there was no stock for the Anti Roll Bar though-so sad). That must have added on the the experience I had. The stock 14" tyres came as Silverstone Synergy M3s. Although I wasn't very happy that I got Silverstones, I guess after driving it for 400kms,I can say, passed my QC test. (A standard FLX next to mine had Goodyear Ducaros.... damn! Those would have been better!) however after driving for this few fews and in the heavy rains at night, the Silverstones are quiet(compared to the previous Silverstone Powerblitz 1800s I had on my old car), have nice grip and comfortable. To add the wipers in the very heavy rains were adequate but maybe if Proton gave us Silicone Dura Edge wipers would have been better!

The brakes feels softer than usual, maybe it is the first time I driven an ABS equipped car, but the brakes under hard application stops the car actually where I wanted it to stop so I guess my fear is unfounded. Never tested the ABS but I pray I will have a safe drive always and never have to use it!

The Fuel Consumption! I wonder why many people complain that the new Saga has a very high fuel consumption? Compared to what? A kancil? Of course must compare apple to apple or at least somewhere nearby. Try comparing a Vios and see! You will be shocked how much the Vios guzzles compared to the Saga! Okay my results. Total mileage was 380kms. (first top up was on taking delivery 11.11.11 of Rm66.10 of Esso Synergy 95 which comes up to 34.78litres) the second top up at 380kms was Rm59.00 of BHPetrol Infiniti 95 which gave me 31.05 litres. Which means per litre I got 12.23 kms which is quite good by me!

To add the lights illuminate the road very well, compared to the BLM model. Very very bright especially the high beams. Today was at Tesco Kulai, bought lots of little stuff to put in my car, those sticky mats, dashboard organiser, car perfume, car wash shampoo, wiper wash liquid, dashboard/interior protector sprays etc.....

My complaints so far.
1) The steering wheel and tyre alignment is out. When I am driving straight, the steering is offset to the left about 5degrees, and when instraight line if I let go off the steering, the car will slightly veer to the left. (I went to the Jln Tebrau, Proton Service centre, the one next to Crystal Crown Hotel JB, they couldn't fix it as they didn't have the necessary alignment equipments so I have to go to the EON Larkin this Thursday to get it fixed and to perform my first service as well!)
2) Suddenly, my Proton alarm beep was spoilt today? Usually when you lock it will beep once, and if you unlock it will beep twice but now silent...... Will settle this on Thursday as well.

Other than I can say no regrets. Sorry if my review is a little long winded, but thanks for reading!

OIC.

Mine also need to pull properly to engage reverse gear.

For alarm beep, can chose to have beep or not. Press and hold both alarm button and lock/unlock button to select.

Yeah if not got small Krrrrr sound, faster let go accelerator, press clutch, enter properly, viola! Works!

Alarm, will try it out after finish work today! Tks for the tip all!

HI , erm...

I juz bought a Saga FLX 1.3 CVT for almost a month now....

erm.... the seller told me to change the transmission oil during the 2nd week (did they ask you to do so?)

i didn't change it , becoz the proton service centre did not have the fluid, have to go desa tun razak there only got....

anyways.... 4 days ago... i was driving on the highway, when my car stopped responding, when i stepped on the gas pedal, the rev meter went up, but the car was not moving..... so i juz ROLLED over to the side and checked wad happende....

the "exclamation mark" lit up on my dashboard..... went to check the boooklet, it was the CVT problem...

anyways, i went and off the engine and restart it and voila it was back ALIVE....

it was also a very very hot day that day

so , i duno wads the problem , isit really the transmission fluid problem or my car too hot ?!

im gonna change the transmission fluid soon, maybe tml if they BOLEH.....

its a new car, why would i have to change the fluid so soon and why would it make my car stop moving.....
*
Bro, just my advice, you may need to spend a little bit on the CVT Transmission Fluid. If the servicing schedule says change every 40,000km, you change it every 20,000kms. Why? The new fluid will always rejuvenate the CVT. Better to spend on the fluid than the CVT if it goes kaput!

My Suzuki ERV Auto transmission, I change the Auto Transmission fluid every 2 servicing. Up till now the Auto Transmission works like brand new.

it's overheating
and no u dn't need to change the transmission fluid
uE just need to send back to SC and tell them that and they will install that additional hose for u
the oil can last u very long be4 u need to change it

and u must change at SC cuz they have the machine to do it and make sure they pour CVT oil..if not will be like honda case

or u can drive it abit longer
some ppl say the GB is still new...1st time light up
thn after that no more
*
I actually have a reason for this, and this was shared to me by a Citroen Technician(their name for mechanic).

The reason being, the Transmission Fluid being the lifeblood of your GB, after using for some time, it does degrade and collect impurities like our engine oil. So changing it in shorter intervals means our GB gets fresh, clean blood regularly.

And the cost of the Transmission Fluid vs the cost of rebuilding a GB makes it a sound investment to regularly change the Transmission fluids.

yala, the moment the light lit up, the car will just maintain the speed and rpm you're running so that you can find a spot to safely stop your car. As long as that CVT indicator light is still lit, even if a gorilla is stepping on the throttle, the car will not move a single inch after you have safely stop the car.

Ha ha ha , it must have freaked you out!
