My advice is don't keep expensive stuff in such place as this case is common. Please in future buy a safe and chain lock that.

Yesterday , was a wonderful day for me untill this undesired thing hapen to me!!!

Yesterday evening was about 6.30pm , when i and my rOOmmate ( staying in AMANAH APARTMENT, UNITEN BANGI) decided to go for a football game after nearly 1month the sem started. Before leaving the room all doors and pad locks are locked.

7.20pm, returned to room saw my room main door opened , my room door opened, all my things in it was ransacked,

damn!!! i left my , 3 phones in the room , nokia music express 5800(black), sony ericsson x8(white), iphone 4(black) ...my wallet with cash rm700.....all my hdd stock which keep in the cupboard aso tey sapu.....3.5 seagate barracuda 1tb SV35.5 (6UNITS), (SEAGATE BARRACUDA 7200.11 1.5 TB 5UNITS), x5 SATA ENCLOSURE 12UNITS,.......ALL THOSE MUMFCK IDOITS TOOK AWAY JUST IN 30MINUTES....

my rummate lost is wallet and his both phones too...

the most shocking part is the THE MAIN DOOR IS NOT BROKEN, MY ROOM DOOR IS NOT BROKEN which means that they have entered easily to my room using the keys which i belive have been duplicated by the people who had been staying here previously...

besides there is an average 5 thefts cases weekly in UNITEN BANGI!

the problem is that, more then 100 complaints are sent to the management of uniten accommodation department regarding this issue and what they did is just 1 CCTV camera at main gate and 1 OUTSIDE the block! IS THIS ENOUGH????!!!!

Every sem increase the rent! !!! Besides they are unable to bear electricity bill, they introduced the prepaid system where we need to top it by credits and use it.......

atleast it wud be betar if they show some concern of this pecah masuk issue and try to sumthng for it....

Why cant they change the door locking system into pad locks type and door knob lock type? It is well known from the begining that this apartments will be rent by many  students and they might come bck here....they have been using the same keys for 10years and besides 1 keys can open more then 5 houses! shit!
the whole day was ruinned and im jammed thinkin how to cover back all my losts......however police report was made and few finger prints was noticed and was sent to bukit aman for verification purpose.

i do, cos i left my key once inside the apartment..

and also,, people can climb and enter from the toilet window.
and also.. use chain and chain ur bike really good..

yo ts, senior amanah here. im stayin outside naw. man that was a lot. y u no change the lock when going to put that much stuff in ur room? im also lost 400 for paying the rent back then, like 2 years ago. in my wallet, under the pillow which i was sleeping on. waffak. morning check back none left. admin memang camtu, u change how many times mpp, admin will still isap bontot sendiri. hope that u'll be able to recover back, even a bit. if not, that's a shitty lesson for u. well i've been there too when i lost my money, and i really fukin hate it. after this go rantai your almari. they kenot bukak the almari accept pecah 1.

Wanna know something... All of you, Uniten students who are studing at the named hostels should stick together. Make a formal complaint and demand the management to improve on security stuff because they don't feel safe staying there.

About 8 years back, a renowned Singapore Polytechnic got all the hostels corridor installed with CCTVs after one particular student got her room cleaned up by thief. She compiled a formal complaint letter and collected over a hundred signature of the fellow occupying students. And you know what, security cameras were installed about one month after they handed over their complaints. Thief rate was significantly reduced.

One individual person made noise...They can hardly feel the pinch
When, 100 persons complained... It's hard to ignore the fact that people are not happy.

i think mpp cannot do much on this since we in ipts...the management is the bos...unless in ipta, they might
can fight for it since got party aspirasi and pembangkang....i also stay at amanah last 2 sem...yes..front door can easily open using card...
maybe this is ur lesson...next time perhaps just dont bring that expensive things to hostel...
