Dun always rely on service centre la, how if one day ur phone hang in places like Pontian, Rembau, Pulau Redang, Gua Musang etc etc... mana ada service centres?
*
There's nothing you can do if your power button not fuctioning. You cant open the phone to take out the battery, you cant reboot. Service centre you have to go
~~duhh~~

only solution is to let the battery die then.

so pray to god, it hangs when ur battery level at 1%.
it would be epic if the phone hangs when u just finished recharging... i would be like FFFFFUUUUUUUUUUUUUU

Dont be like that la bro. You only make people afraid to buy this phone. I'm not condemn this phone, i'm just telling the truth. If the power button also cannot work while it hang then there's nothing can be done about it since the battery cannot be taken out. As a result of this 'pronto to service centre' is the only answer :-))
Ohh., and yes, another way is to wait the battery drain until the phone went auto shutdown mode :-P

You can try chuck in usb cable to your PC but i dont think the PC can recognize it while the phone is on hanging condition. Have you ever try anything like that in problem like this before.?

Usually if hang it will auto reboot after a minute or 2 right? At least that's my experiences from previous Moto phones

I dont know, never use Moto before, that's why i ask :-)
If the power button functioning then it's just long hold that button and the phone will auto reboot. That's standard. But if power button also freeze then how.?

Normally hard reset can be done using physical button especially power button. What if the power button also malfunction while the phone hang.?

Whoaahh., in that case - service centre pronto you go
~~muahaha~~
I remember opening my Galaxy Tab (same with Razr, no opening to battery). Quite troublesome and had to use special tri-star screwdriver. And to forcefully dugout the mainframe before can take out the battery. Hard job dude. Better bring to service centre than trying open it ourself ~~lol~~

Had to checkout the backcover first. If got separator backcover like Nokia N8 then shouldn't be any problem. With right screwdriver can open easily. But if melded together then be careful as you had to pry open the mainframe. Can be done but messy. Waste of time just for taking out the damn battery o_O
