Standard charges for bank cheque:

Alliance and OCBC FOC if cheque written in your name. Can't remember if Citibank was free.

HLB and PBB RM2.15.

RHB and MBB RM5!
Wah, did not know RHB & MBB so expensive! Thought SBB was expensive at RM 2.15.

Is OCBC 4% promo still available?
*
No longer available.
But I did come across some promo they are having now for 3 months FD:
http://www.ocbc.com.my/docs/pdf/TC_Conventional_Al-Almin.pdf

Looks too complicated so did not bother pursuing it.

6 months 3.45%
9 months 3.5%

till 17th June

12 months 3.9%
(if apply credit card, 1st year govt tax waited & 4% FD)

till 30th June

Apparently the promo started today! Just happen to be there today..

Called to one branch here and the one who picked up the call didn't know about 4%... then passing the call till no end..

Bad service as expected.
*
Well, so far I had no issues with the SS2 branch.
I also forgot to ask if the promo is only for that branch as previously there was some free gifts only given in that branch.

Sorry, my bad. I'll check & revert.

AMBank has Priority Banking service too ? How to qualify for that ?

Is still new in AMBank. They will be having a centre in TTDI soon.
From the RM, she said is by invitation only but the qualifying factor is around RM 250k in deposits

But from the information i gathered from their website, it seems that all AmSignature Priority Banking customers will get the AmSignature Priority Banking VISA Infinite Card. Perhaps you should talk to them again    biggrin.gif
*
Oh, I already talked to my RM on that. For now, the Infinite card will still require a separate application but in future, they may automatically auto-approve the card.

Btw, no free coffee for now but you will get 1 or 2 free meals! tongue.gif Don't say you heard it from me..

SCB offer up RM300 rebate for average  balance above RM30K which is considered 4% bonus on top of 1.5% interest on CASA. So, total will be around 5.5%
*
SCB's promo maybe better & worth considering if for sure after 3 months there would be another promo to hop on to.

I did it in May but I'm not sure exactly how they will know - system tracking I guess.

I didn't make any withdrawal via ATM so far but I did use the debit card and also did online fund transfer.
*
Let us hope so, will need to remind myself.
I paid a bill online, hope is sufficient as I do not have debit card or ATM card with them.

Guys,

Just to share 2 things:

1. I just uplifted my OCBC FD but was not charged anything for a banker's cheque & I am not a priority banking customer.

2. AM Bank priority banking is having a promo FD of 3.65% for 6 months. I think minimum is RM 50,000.
