i think there will be question like .. if can increase the performance.. why proton didnt tune it like tat in the first place?

answer to it : Manufacturer need to follow Euro regulations. Engine running slightly more lean will have more power but the amount of carbon produce will be slightly higher. To reduce the carbon produced to fit Euro regulation, they have to detuned it

what the reflash does is just change the setting slightly .. it not change the ECU programs.

and i will keep the original copy. dun feel happy with it. Can flash back

aiya, like handphone la, iphone , jailbreak then void warranty, android, root then void warranty, but anything goes wrong, flash back to default rom, can claim also. no worry la.

the payment is to tune 1 fuel range only .... means ron 95 or ron 97 ...
if wan both have to pay more .... so how ?

Kenny, price your option based on 10 person per variant. Then ron 95 = rmxx; if ron95 & ron97 = rmxx. Then ppl can decide to go with ron95 or both. If just ron95, ron97 settings untouched right? I think if we can get enuf gain from ron95, we dun need to pump ron97. If not too expensive, then I'm in too. Other concern is ppl is scared to flash the ecu fearing 'what if's... Address this fear, am sure more ppl will join the bandwagon.

I think we go for Ron95 first ... (skip uncle poadster whom have company card ) ..

If we want both ... (Ron 95 and 97) .. just additional price to pay slightly .. maybe 30 .. but that one later la.

To address the question about "WHAT IF" .. maybe i should clear things up here ..

Okay .. what can we touch in the ECU. nothing major. No programings coded allowed to changed.. ECU protect itself. So what do these guys do .. just changing the setting and mapping .. mainly to optimise ur engine .

Worry about warranty ? If there is any Issue with your car .. and you want to go warranty or what so ever .. i can reflash it back TEMPORARY for FREE .. then once everything done .. u want back your setting .. i can give back to u FREE as well ..

**Pshh .. dun everyday ask me flash ORI flash CUSTOM .. flash ORI la ... okay .. hahaha

FYI, Proton dun have the proper tool to know u modified the setting yet .. lolz

Potatoes... dun worry i wont give u 1.8 MT ROM .. i will need to do some work ... remap the mappign RPW modified and map it to 1.8 CVT .. no point sending 2 roms for them as our 1.8 both variant same mapping. Extra work I no extra charge okay .

Current plan is for Ron 95. Later might want to do Ron 97 .. maybe additional RM30.

RM60 each .. Free restore back or vice versa .. is it okay ?

Sorry if this question sound noob, how do the ECU know the car is running on RON97 or 95?

EDIT : I mean if to flash it with both RON support.

most likely knocking sensors.
detect knocking .. retard timing .. switch to lower ron fuel mapping

driving auto, manual, and classic 4 gear manual.

u know classic car when u do reverse gear, got to lift the gear stick up. sometime i do it in Inspira... and i laugh at myself...hehehe
