i am not sure myself dude, i am using it rarely, but never had the hang. maybe because i am not using it as frequent as you.
*
Maybe you really seldom use, smile.gif Here, mine one, my colleague one, all randomly hang when snapping photos.

QUOTE(Wira_lover @ Mar 7 2012, 08:52 AM)
seriously speaking bro, im using an iphone and so is my gf, i bought an S2 for my GF cause i wanted to play with android also to just try it out. at the beginning i was having a few problems here and there.

1.Camera bug - snap,snap, crash. - Solved by changing firmware to DZKL3
2.Random hang - due to an app, uninstalled it and phone stop hanging
3.bad bad bad battery life - solved by rooting and custom ROM
4.network issues - solved by help of LYN forum members.

at the beginning i too felt frustrated, and dissapointed,my gf was like "should have just continued using my iphone bla bla bla" but trust me, once you get it fixed itsssssss way better than an iphone. till i now wanna get my own, maybe ill wait and see if S3 comes out soon.

like bro creezalird said, if you just want a simple phone, i think iphone will be ok.

what firmware you using bro? when this hanging issues started? was it after installing a certain app? or it started from the day u bought the phone? maybe we can try to help smile.gif

Added on March 7, 2012, 9:25 am

what firmware are you on bro? i had this problem at the beginning, after changing to DZKL3 2.3.6gingerbread, i didnt have that prob
*

Actually the camera hanging issue is common for Galaxy S II, even now you keep after snap, view the photo, then hanging will find you. I find it not hang as long as I not view the photo during camera still on.

And this phone still sometimes hang for no reason, but lessor a lot already in latest firmware start from KL3. I notice it happening often for apps (normally games) that do push notification of advertisement, so I already uninstall all games that have advertisement push notified. After this, it run without hanging problem.

I notice even my sister phone - Galaxy W much much more stable, I never face any hanging issue any part for that phone, the only complain is that phone had too little RAM.

after DZKL3 i never faced the camera hang issue even using the preview after snapping a pic.

i then changed to XXLA1, and still no camera issue.

Sometimes I still face it, not often, but still occur.

just tested, ten times snapping and the same times ten times checking the picture..still no hang, even close and reopen camera also.

i think maybe the hang is affected by some of samsung applications, which i have already removed almost all of them tongue.gif

QUOTE(Wira_lover @ Mar 7 2012, 11:08 AM)
thumbup.gif hahahaha yup after i got my titanium backup, i went on a FREEZING spree removing all those samsung apps, i think they also call it bloatware

but if i recall correctly, even before removing apps and such when i changed to DZKL3, the problem was settled.
*

What Samsung apps you all remove or freeze?

Added on March 7, 2012, 2:09 pmNow I got another issue, did anyone facing Viber call out hanging?

I try few times already in latest version, it keep hanging my phone after few ring before the person pickup my call.

I had no issue answering the Viber, I just can't calling it. Seems no issue in previous version, it start hanging in latest release.

yeah, at last, forgot to say, actually sometimes app need to be clear for data first especially if u restored it from TBP, but usually not needed, but if behave not properly, then clear data is a way to go beside clear cache/dalvik/fix permission
*
Yeah! Lucky it fix. I also clear data for my camera, then few try shooting and viewing seems not hanging also. smile.gif

2. CPU Master Pro from AnTuTu. - i find it better that setcpu, which I had bought.:-)
I think there is some kernel wakelock that is causing ur problem. But yes, calibrate your battery and give it a try for 1-2 days before usage / battery life can be stable. Sometimes, even weak reception of signal can cause battery drain....
*

Agree! I also bought Antutu CPU Master Pro, it is much better, even though I am big supporter for SetCPU and already bought it long time ago, but it seems it no longer any significant changing even the latest version only change for interface. Antutu CPU Master Pro is much better with I/O Scheduler support + all SetCPU function and it remember my setting. wink.gif

I've just installed the CPU Master.. how to set? min and max should set to what? what about scaling?
*
I am not so good with this, I follow creezalird suggestion, set min 300 Mhz, max 1200 Mhz, scaling - hotplug, I/O Scheduler - noop. (I notice after a while, noop make my Data not working, deadline also same,. I back to default cfq now).

Scaling - hotplug is perfectly run well in performance & battery life.

Did anyone try this official Vietnam ROM for i9100G
- I9100GDXLC1_I9100GOLBLC1_XXV

Any good? It just release on March, 2012.

Added on March 20, 2012, 5:20 pmJust flash over I9100GDXLC1 in my I9100G, any different? Not so sure yet.. This firmware only got English US, English UK, Indonesia, Vietnam & Korean for languages. (No issue on displaying any languages.)

But do confirm the red spot on camera is not that obvious, seems back to local stock ROM quality now. smile.gif

Added on March 20, 2012, 9:07 pmThis DXLC1 is pretty solid and stable than LA1. Worth update. biggrin.gif

Small review on I9100GDXLC1 ROM.

Benefits over I9100GXXLA1 ROM:
  • Camera confirm minor red spot (nearly don't have most the time), it look as decent as local I9100GDZKL3 ROM, German I9100GXXLA1 room is having a big red spot on dark area.
  • Already more than a day usage, I never face Data not working issue, on I9100GXXLA1 ROM, I keep often facing out of sudden Data not working, only restart will solved it.
  • I never face any camera hanging issue yet switching between camera and viewing.
  • Overall pretty smooth, it seems smoother than I9100GXXLA1, at least my Antutu benchmark is back to 6k value as I9100GDZKL3, I can get only 5k for I9100GXXLA1 ROM.
Cons on I9100GDXLC1:
  • Same as I9100GXXLA1 ROM, no Chinese language support on phone Menu, no default DuoPen keyboard install. I am ok with this as I no need Chinese Menu, and I use Go Keyboard for input of English & Chinese character.

I am definitely keep the I9100GDXLC1 ROM until ICS ROM for I9100G is out. Worth trying on I9100GDXLC1 ROM. smile.gif

any new? playstore issue n density issue?
*
Play Store can be fix if by reset the density, another way is set clear darvik cache and cache, but this does not solved the Google Talk login. Reset the density do solved the Google Talk login.

Another issue, no themes is working on this v3.0 - example this theme http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1559068 not working.

------------------------------
Now going to try the GaLaXy v4.1
