Finally tarunagg had release Port OF ICS DOMINATION By Vertumus for SuperROM v3.0

Using it now.

My small review on current i9100G setup.

Firmware: Superatmos SuperROM v3.0 - XXLB1
kernel: Base on SuperROM v3.0 kernel
CPU Set: Scaling hotplug 600 MHz ~ 1200 MHz | I/O Scheduler - deadline
Theme: ICS DOMINATION By Vertumus port by tarunagg
Launcher: Go Launcher EX
Launcher Theme: Alefox Ice Cream Sandwich
Launcher Dock & Folder icon: Typo Black
Launcher Indicator: Glasklart

What I did before flash:

• Titanium Backup all apps.
• CWM Backup in-case something went wrong.
• MyBackup Pro for backup data of Call Log, Bookmarks, SMS, MMS, Alarms, Dictionary & Calendar.
• Backup Go Launcher EX Settings.
• Full wipe - Format /cache /data /system via CWM.
• Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache via CWM.

Flashing:

• Flash Superatmos SuperROM v3.0 ROM.
• Reboot.
• Boot back to CWM for flashing ICS DOMINATION By Vertumus port by tarunagg theme.
• Reboot.

What I did after flash:

• Titanium Backup Batch restore.
• Restore Go Launcher EX Settings, re-add all the widgets.
• Restore MyBackup Pro backup data.

Issue on SuperROM v3.0:

• As everyone face on Google Play Store where you can't install/updates any apps, it is easier to fix by Wipe Cache & Dalvik Cache, but this method does not solved my another issue seems no one ever report before - Google Talk Authentication error. End up I use LCD Density Modder Pro - Fix Market Compatibility Issues by installing the modded Play Store & GSF. GSF need to install after installing the modded Play Store or else all your purchase app will became never purchase before.

Experience on SuperROM v3.0:

• I find it smooth and no any error encounter beside that Play Store & Google Talk Authentication Issue.
• Battery is far far saver than stock ROM.
• The best Camera quality, no more red spot issue.
• The build.prop tweaks for better quality of pictures and videos really work! as I no longer see any color banding issue especially when pickup wallpaper from Wallpaper gallery! Nice tweak! loving it~!
• Loving it ability to use ICS DOMINATION By Vertumus port by tarunagg theme.
• New Call answering way - same as Galaxy W.

Overall, well recommended, I find this the best custom latest ROM so far for i9100G, I also try another ROM but I not so like it. Attached below some screenshot of my current setup.











Once against Thanks a lot of superatmos hard work on this fantastic ROM. & also tarunagg by porting the ICS DOMINATION By Vertumus theme.

Welcome, remember flashing the correct ICS Theme, or else you will not able to access the phone beside boot back to CWM. I use ADB command adb reboot recovery to boot back as 1st I flash the older version which does not work.

Won't, apps and setting still there.

No idea, I never use stock music player. I preferred player pro.

I using what launcher? I believe I had clearly mention on top before the review oh, kindly look.

Also, I change I/O Scheduler to deadline (this is default as well), it seems noop got some issue after a while usage.

Not that, that is for non G unit.

Battery life better than stock LA1, how many % drop? No idea, as I normally charging over night.

No need update to LB1, SuperROM v3.0 is base on LB1.

You need to root your phone 1st before can flash this SuperROM.

Remember once flash this custom ROM, it no longer upgradable via Kies unless you restore back stock ROM.

The easier way, flash the superatmos v3.0 kernel, then it will auto install the CWM for you.

You plan to use SuperROM v3.0 right? then off course use the SuperROMv3 one for that ICS theme.

I not sure CWM will get remove or not after flash back the stock kernel.

Yellow triangle can simply remove by flashing any kernel / ROM using Mobile ODIN Pro, also Mobile ODIN Pro can help you auto ROOT for ROM you flash that don't have root function.

If you no backup before, then reflash the SuperROM v3.0

Ya, the hanging is too often using noop I/O.

Now I only use deadline.

Creezalird rooting guide is perfect, possible you post at XDA new I9100G sub forum?

Nope. But for safety reason, always do backup.

I not going flash CM9 first, wait more stable release. Too tired to experiment.

Happy with stock ICS now + root.

For stock ICS, press and hold together Home + Power and wait for few second. (Must press and hold both button together)

Happily with CyanogenMod 9 - 20120604 Nightly build.

Everything working perfectly smooth and stable for me. I didn't face some user report issue at XDA thread or Facebook Group. My vibration is working, backlight can configure properly few second auto off. (I didn't try completely turn it off where user report it will off that two button function as well in latest build). This latest nightly build is 2x smoother compare with stock ICS for me, and extreme stable for daily use.

Happy with my S2 G now.

Extra RAM is required for ICS. Nothing to SAD on that.

Same procedures in 1st page 1st post at XDA codeworkx thread.

The only different is I use Nova Launcher Prime not the CM9 Trebuchet Launcher as Trebuchet not support creating folder at app drawer. This is drawback for me. The Apex Launcher also same.

You need folder in app drawer - only Nova Launcher Prime support on it at the moment.
