I try few times already in latest version, it keep hanging my phone after few ring before the person pickup my call.

I had no issue answering the Viber, I just can't calling it. Seems no issue in previous version, it start hanging in latest release.

I am using whatsapp for chatting, but viber for calling, viber calling is clear but always got bugs here and there.

Haizz, maybe i shall switch to Tango for calling now, Tango was great for video call.

Finally I solved my Viber hanging issue by clearing the app data, now I can call and no hang.

guys i dont know what i did but im worried man.

i wanted to flash another modem. so did some checking and wanted to try out KG5 and NEKF2.

so the isntructions say just copy into sd card, flash to recovery mode via cwm, install zip file from sd.

after doing so, my phone has no reception and keeps asking to insert sim card. whats going on bro?

i have a i9100g, bought it last year, now with DXKL3 firmware. I tried to root it using the zerberg method, first method, but failed. i flashed my sgs2 down to DXKJ2 firmware using odin and tried the method again, but still failed to root. i downloaded the firmware from sammobile.

Now, i'm thinking to try the second method. but the link is not working for downloading dxki1.

since i have dxkl3.. so called latest firmware, can i skip straight to flashing to insecure kernel zckh4? .. do i still need to include the pit file when flashing zckh4>

i also found original kernel for dxkl3. so, after flashing zckh4, can i flash this dxkl3 kernel to remove the triangle?

its a zip file bro, i checked before doing it. inside has like a folder with bin something like that.

this is exactly what i did.

download the file

reboot recovery

install from sd card

reboot.

bang ! insert sim card. no imei, no network etc.

bro im freking out man.

i do have a zip file in the SD card efsbackup.tar.gz

cause i was having some calls getting dc problem. and read so many people saying after flashing a new modem, it was much better.

really dont know what went  wrong man.   

Hi. New to the forum and i appreciate the quick user input. I had a galaxy note but exchanged it for a SII as i was transitioning from an iPhone. Android very versatile which needs root.

Cant seem to find root for i9100G on 2.3.6 with GINGERBREAD.XXKL5.

I just want simple root to get titanium backup pro and tools like SET CPU.

Please outline any existing post or method. Simpler is best as i dont have much knowledge for rooting.

I've managed to root. i'm on dzkl2. But i have the triangle at the boot screen.

Do u know where to get a original dzkl2 kernel to flash? so that i can remove the triangle? i tried googling but cannot find.

also, to flash kernal, i do the same thing, choosing PDA in odin, right?

i tried using the sII repair tool. didnt work.

i tried HK tool.

i reflashed another modem,same thing happened.

nope havent tried flashing stock back. so just flash stock firmware via odin and see how that goes from therE?

dont know why i didnt think of this, but yeah, flashing the stock formware XXLA1 brought my phone back to normal. with imei number, signal network etc etc etc.

from there, i wiped my phone, wiped cache, flash superatmos 3.0, reboot recovery, clear dalvik.

now setting up my phone from scratch again, without restores etc. just like new. im staying away from any modem flashes for now, i still dont kjnow what caused this bro. im super paranoid now

Creezalird, it's not the first time that i read people having troubles to root once they downgrade, do you think it's also needed to flash old bootloader (not included in stock rom ?) ? Unsure about that ...

Well we do think the same, i was actually thinking the downgrade don't downgrade the bootloader, but didn't test it, so it's just our thought ^^
Need more guys feedback to be sure ...

now it appear to be verizon, which i cant get any local signal T_T

Thanks for your answer Creezalird, i didn't think it would be that easy to actually backup things, sdcard being untouched, only apps needs to be saved, indeed really easy, feel more comfortable
I'll try to wait for ICS, but looks like i'm going to flash my g next week end whatever happen !
