i never tried it on 64bit, but theoritically it should work on any windows platform as it is script and binary only, refer my guide in my signature as the first post is outdated.

just try the doomlord, as it wont do any harm even if u try it hundred times

my guess is that u are on newer firmware, u should be on KJ2 or lower to use doomlord method.check my guide in signature

it is very easy, just full wipe and flash back to stock using odin.

for rooting method, u can follow my pdf guide in my signature, basically two routes, one will void warranty and needs usb jig to fix. and another will not void warranty but the steps are a bit lengthy (doomlord method)

yes, unroot is easy. just reflash stock rom. but beware with binary counter as it can only be fixed using usb jig and u need to buy those

no, i clearly said that with mobile odin pro, u can do upgrade/downgrade with benefit of having automatic rooted.
but if u want to use normal odin (PC), it is doable also.
ps : just google for black version

firstly, which firmware are you on right now? as i said in my guide, only certain lower firmware can be used with doomlord and sometimes need to be used together with memory crash method.

if u are getting a line like "hellions with blue flames" , this means that u have unsupported firmware and must downgrade with odin to proceed.

if u are getting a line like "nothing interested found", this means that u need to re-run with "memory crash method"

regarding backup, i think it is not possible without root access, which firmware has the phone right now?

i think, u just use the flash rooted kernel directly as this will not wipe any data, after that u can backup everything with whatever u prefer, ie TBP.

but of course u will get the infamous yellow triangle and binary counter, just buy usb jig then, rm10 only maa..hehe

just order one from online maa, i got mine from LYN thread..
ICS maybe around 2-4 weeks out..MAYBE..haha..

what is the output errror? hellion with blue flames or nothing interesting found?

btw try 600mb and even during rooting, just use your phone and run as many apps as possible

i can easily go 600mb ..lols.. just with stock apps.

as u are still kind of noob here, i would suggest u go for flashing rooted kernel with ktool to get CWM recovery access and afterward do full backup from CWM. Recommended kernel : streetware 0.4.3 or superatmos 3.3, my pdf guide is a bit outdated with the kernel/rom list.

to remove stock apps after backup, u can use titanium backup pro.

even though prometheus 1.3.7 is very good enough with some minor bugs like semitransparent buttons, fuss is working on 1.3.9 with bugfixes, i will wait first.

Rooting for ICS (i9100G), of course update to ICS using odin first.

Method 3 : 1 + 2, no yellowtriangle or binary count increasement

1. Do method 2 first.
2. Download LP7 codeworkx, extract and put the zimage inside root sdcard
3. Install ktool, flash the zimage.
4. Result : rooted + CWM , no usb jig involved, ^___^

i think so far, in less than a day, the battery is very much the same, just make sure u change the governor to hotplug and noop as IO if u are using LP7 kernel
