I have rooted (s-off unofficial) my sensation. Since I'm using a 8gb SD card now, I'm intending to upgrade to 16gb. Can anyone tell me how can I change to new 16 gb SD card without losing the s-off function which was installed in 8gb previously?
*
Just copy the entire content in your card. Show hidden files and copy all the hidden files as well I guess. hmm.gif

Please help me out. This is really annoying.
Some of my songs did not have album art when I first placed it into my phone and so, now that I have time. I retagged some of my songs with Album Arts but it just won't appear in the default Music Player.

In PowerAmp however, if I choose to use Embed image, it can detect.

This is annoying!! doh.gif Please give me some help if you know. Thanks a lot!!

Added on November 13, 2011, 8:18 pmUPDATE : Probably found a solution to this.
Go to Manage Applications, All, Media Storage, Clear data, (Remove MicroSD and insert it back / Plug into computer as Disk Drive then remove). Both ways will force your phone to Scan your SD card. icon_rolleyes.gif

Sent to HTC Care Centre at Menara Berjaya. Collected on the third day while my friend collected on the second day. Highly efficient if you'd ask me. Changed LCD and panel for both phones and casing changed. New casing! biggrin.gif
Anyway, now my screen is made by Sharp and colours change very badly when away from plan view. But one advantage I personally felt is text seems to flicker less when scrolled now compared to previous LCD.

i found out d..mine by sharp..but feels like this 1 is better than the previous 1..

Added on November 17, 2011, 4:03 pmguy..besides skinomi is idefense good?

Better in terms of? Colour is seriously very yellowish. And colours change badly when away from plan view.

Anyway, sis set Sensation XL is available at retail stores with a RRP of 2099. Expensive? Screen is huge and nice. biggrin.gif

I hate to say but after changing the screen and panel, my touch screen is going crazy. Sensitivity got problem and when I swipe faster, it can't take the full swipe correctly. Which as an example, it's practically impossible for me to get the carousel effect running in the homescreen. doh.gif

probably caused by the new case's grounding..refer to the faqs in the first page regarding static build up on screen
*
Thanks. But it's not that it can't get my touch input, it can't take complete fast swipes across the screen.
And I have tried the method. Gonna bring it back again.

QUOTE(hanny562 @ Nov 17 2011, 10:24 PM)
but mine hv better contrast compare to previous 1..and no colour change when away from plan view juSt abit yellowish..weird..but i dont hv wny touch screen issue:-)
*
Yellowish is colour change. It's bad. doh.gif Previously, the colour remains. Touch Screen issue is another problem for me. Not due to the screen I believe cause my friend doesn't have this problem after changing his screen as well.

QUOTE(E71s @ Nov 17 2011, 10:44 PM)
How do you get your housing replaced bro?Do you have a deathgrip or dust under screen issue?

And yes Im totally agree that Acer made panel is better,I dont get what is flickeringmy girlfriend is using one.But then the yellow screen appears on my Sharp display annoys me.
*
Just complain that you have dropped network, and the worker will change a new casing straight. Sharp seems to have far less flickering compared to Acer but the yellow screen as you say is really really uncomfortable to look at. Anyway, just to add in, I have also noticed my friend's Moto Razr to have quite a yellowish screen as well, not white enough. hmm.gif

Yes bro amoled screens are more prone to yellow, happens to my galaxy note. But its okay their colour is really vibrant so that's just a minor issue for the amoled screens.

Xl should join desire hd thread due to the msm8255 lol.
*
AMOLED but what's up with the SLCD on Sensation? The replacement screen has a far warmer colour tone. Yellowish. I hate this. doh.gif Yeah, but it's Sensation! icon_idea.gif One big happy family : Sensation, Sensation XE and Sensation XL. icon_idea.gif

Nope I think you can do nothing with the yellow screen. Its the nature of Sharp made panels lol.
I learn to live with it once I found out ours are actually not the yellow-est,after comparing to Galaxy Note smile.gif
*
Razr suffer the same problem as well. After tweaking your colour by increasing the blue, the screen looks just as white as Acer's but tilt away from plan view, still yellow. No solution. doh.gif
And WiFi signal will still drop when you cover the top even after changing the casing.
Screen protector probably depends on the person applying. I just bought 1 new screen protector from Lowyat HTC shop and really bad. Bubbles around the corner. Previously, got a free screen protector and virtually no bubbles at all. :shakeheads:

Around +10. hmm.gif
Personal preference. I don't want the colour tone to go too cool.
Anyway, with this yellowish tint, it makes our phone looks less classy. doh.gif

There's probably a way to prevent our screen from looking yellowish even when viewed at angle.
Apply a privacy screen protector and you can't see anything at an angle. laugh.gif
Wonder if there's any privacy screen protector for Sensation. hmm.gif

Sick of sending my phone back. First time I sent got a replacement for casing and fix dust under the screen problem. When I got my phone, no more dust obviously cause they have replaced the whole display and touch panel. But my touch screen go crazy. And I sent back for the second time. They fixed the motherboard or mainboard...something like this. And then I got it back used for a couple of days, touchscreen problem happens again. Can I force them to give me a replacement unit? This is insane!! vmad.gif vmad.gif

Mind to share what touch screen problems u referring to?
*
Swiping motion. When I swipe across the screen like in list or trying to get the carousel effect in the homescreen, halfway swiping, the screen loses the touch and it ended up taking it as a point selection instead. Maybe I will video it tonight. It's definitely having an issue. I have tested side by side with another Sensation and mine is ARGH!!

Sent twice for warranty, can I ask them to just replace my unit? This is annoying. I have wasted that much time sending it over and sh1t happens after they fixed my phone. cry.gif cry.gif

Seems like you r having unstable current running off, try to run dry your battery and charge it from 0 to 100 again.

Tried when I first had that problem.

QUOTE(retsmot @ Nov 25 2011, 02:46 PM)
There are a few fixes u can try urself for touch screen problems. Try search in xda forums.

Also avoid using unofficial chargers. U can also try full discharge of ur phone, leave it overnight.
*
Yeap, tried. cry.gif

QUOTE(E71s @ Nov 25 2011, 03:16 PM)
Bro is that because of the grounding thing? You know the wrong circuit might interfere the the sensitivity bro,I read at some pages it happens that the pin doesn't contact with the back cover,if it happens try putting aluminum foil to reconnect them, hope it helps biggrin.gif

Btw,has your IMEI number changed?Cause if the change motherboard,Imei number also changes right?
*
Haven't tried aluminium foil but I have tried pulling the pin out a little. Doesn't seem to be the problem. Plus, previously without casing can use too and my friend's without casing can use too. There's definitely something wrong in my phone. doh.gif
Uploading the video now.
