try turn off the phone and reinsert the casing..its probably problem with static..the reason you may be able to use w/o the casing is probably because the static have not being build up enough to affect the screen yet...many people got it fixed by pulling the grounding pin tho...since you've recently changed to a new back case, maybe you could clean the contact on the new back case or to press it firmer when u re-install the back case.
*
I meant before fixing my screen, I can use even without my back casing and my friend's one worked fine without the back casing as well. Now, with or without casing also same. And the vibrator is weird. It's like there's some plasticky sound vibrating inside the phone. This happened before they changed the motherboard as well.

in normal circumstance, it should work even without the casing, i believe if you use it long enough without the casing, the static will eventually build up and you will have the weird problem again. Since you have the problem right after you sent it in, maybe you should re-send it to them and be specific regarding the problems you faced. Maybe you could turn it off, pull the battery up and leave it overnight? It should leave the phone plenty of time to discharge the static.
*
Oh my, this is pretty annoying. Sometimes it works though. And does it mean that if I use my phone frequently, the static will be built up extremely quickly or something like this? hmm.gif I told them specifically what's the issue. Showed them. First fix was for dust under the screen, they replaced Screen and Touch Panel. After replacing, the touchscreen problem occurred. Then, they replaced the motherboard. And after a few days, BAM! the problem is back. shakehead.gif

QUOTE(RitchieV @ Nov 26 2011, 05:37 PM)
Hey dude....how did you convince the HTC workers to change the touch screen for you, if got dust under the screen?
I wanted to go a lot of times already but i am kinda busy and i need to use my phone like every freaking day.....
Not having a smartphone for 1 or 2 weeks can be very unconvenient
I don't really mind at times but when i am watching/playing games/movies.....the dust can be quiet annoying  vmad.gif
*
I have sent it in and they have changed it once. After the change only did I get this problem. So, it's like I sent my phone in to get a problem. Unbelievable doh.gif

QUOTE(joemiad @ Nov 26 2011, 06:36 PM)
Which shop u buy and how about the cost of the protector. Is it matte or clear...
*
Most shop in Lowyat will sell a properly sized screen protector. First time, I got it free from purchasing a Moov Hybrid casing. That guy was very careful and the screen protector is perfect without any bubbles. That cost me RM85. After my screen and touch panel has been replaced, I bought a screen protector for RM20 and the person who applied it seriously sucks. All corners full of bubbles. doh.gif
So, make sure the person who's applying for you is good. nod.gif

Anyway, the first casing purchased from second floor. Very big shop I think the shop got big Mobile Accessories word. The second screen protector was purchased from ground floor HTC small little tiny shop. nod.gif

Just wondering if the HTC charger is the cause to my Sensation problem. It's like it's frying my phone up all the time perhaps cause I tested on Samsung Galaxy S and yes, after I plugged it in, the touchscreen goes haywire. doh.gif Video below.

hi guys, i heard from my friend maxis data plan if u use over the limit the amount can be up to 2k and maxis never cut your data plan nor make the connection speed slower when u over the usage. but digi does make ur connection speed slower tats i heard from  friend. does anyone forget the turn off the data plan overnight and left it over there and the charges is exp ?? or over 500
*
Even on Digi if you do not have a plan and you use data network, it won't stop as well. A friend of mine hit more than 2k thanks to Digi staff forgetting to send in the application for data plan. doh.gif But if you have plan on Digi after exceeding, throttle speed. On Maxis, after exceeding charge at normal rate, that's why have to be very careful. Maxis only have one unlimited data plan but limited to Business registration only. RM99 a month unlimited. doh.gif

noob here, asking for advice

HTC sensation XE, any comment on its
Internal 4 GB (1 GB user available), 768 MB RAM ?

will it easily get lag or hang if i install a numbers of apps?
*
4GB internal is only for system files etc etc. 768mb RAM is more than sufficient. nod.gif
And no I guess. Doesn't hang. smile.gif

Do you know exactly where or how can i register for that plan?
*
You must be on their business Huan Xi line first then you have to fax in an official letter stating that you want to have that plan activated. Even that RM99 seems a little too much to ask from customers comparing to other operators.

So if i do that then the account will be under the company then? There's no way a private home user to get it?
AFAIK it's the only truly unlimited data plan ,right? If so then RM99 is cheap IMO,
*
Yeap, you need a company to register to that package.
Digi only RM68. Maxis RM99 more expensive by RM31. hmm.gif
Quota how much I'm not sure and not completely sure if Maxis still provide the RM99 unlimited at the moment. They do the last time I asked but ended up taking only 500mb plan instead of the RM99 unlimited for both my parents cause they don't really use it. Just to prevent any additional charges when they use some apps like CNN and stuff. nod.gif

Negative for me... LoL
people been complaining about the screen in the dust which never occur to me..
people been complaining about the cracking sound, which also happen to me but I DIY some paper on the back and fix it...
battery wise, so far so good but think going to upgrade or buying a power bank.

and RM 99 for unlimited data is crap... nowadays lots of telecommunication also unlimited data. but no people read the terms and conditions. IF YOU USED MORE THEN 3GB, the connection will slow no matter what crap. SO no point of using so much. in terms, depend on house, old town coffee shop or Starbuck WiFi is much better.

So far been testing network.... Celcom speed is the best but sometimes and certain area will crappy. Maxis stable but FREAKING EXPENSIVE. DiGi freaking cheap but the connection is BULLSHIT ! So far 1 GB is more then enough for me.

What say you?
*
Poor people like me stick with Digi best. Cheapest mah. Galaxy S II plan at only RM48 for the RM68 plan! Bang for the bucks. laugh.gif
And Maxis is not unlimited for their plan. Exceed then charge normal rate. Gila sial...

QUOTE(maxgenesis @ Nov 27 2011, 11:35 PM)
I working at Maxis before [quit this year at august]. They already implemented the unlimited data usage with quota of speed. Again as I said before, you can use but when it reach exceed 3GB quota, it would not charge you for extra but instead low down your downloading speed. If you got the case if you exceed 3GB quota and charge you for the extra usage this is because their blardy system SUX big time. They won't invest on better system but upgrading with SUPER lots of bugs and errors.

This also applied to Celcom but not the system as they already set the method long time ago unlike Maxis. So if you travel  a lot use Celcom (serious good) because the price and internet is balance. If you rich go ahead use Maxis which is much stable. But if you stay in KL or major town with low budget allocated for your call bills, use DIGI.

p/s: I not promoting Celcom although I just change from Maxis to Celcom for 3 months.  biggrin.gif
*
Just to check with you, if for Maxis 500mb plan, after exceeding does it mean only throttle? But Maxis stated charge at normal rate last time.

Hi owners, need an honest opinion regarding this phone.  I'm considering getting one.  Any known problems?  The dust under screen thing, does it affect all phones?  Can claim warranty?  How's the GPS performance?  Does the qHD resolution affect apps compatibility?

Thanks smile.gif
*
Can claim warranty and very little apps don't fit these days. Most of the important apps support qhd perfectly. smile.gif

Just asking. My Sensation didn't have any problem before this except dust under the screen but after sending to service center to get it fix, my phone came back with a touchscreen problem. Then, I sent it back. They fixed it once more but the problem occured again. Don't you think the service center should be responsible? I posted in HTC Malaysia Facebook page asking if I can request for a replacement unit, they told me to check with the seller. It's not right don't you think?
