no one using case mate barely there?
hows the tough case by the way?
*
seen and touched both before...barely there is not as appealing as you think...and the protection is very minimal...if you put side by side with tough..no doubt tough looks and feel much better...it add some thickness to it for better gripping

Tough case is silicone made right?I personally do not like these as they tend to become loose after times.

And here's a video of my problem. doh.gif

*
try turn off the phone and reinsert the casing..its probably problem with static..the reason you may be able to use w/o the casing is probably because the static have not being build up enough to affect the screen yet...many people got it fixed by pulling the grounding pin tho...since you've recently changed to a new back case, maybe you could clean the contact on the new back case or to press it firmer when u re-install the back case.

hye all.. im going to buy htc sensation today.. but.. which is recommended?? normal or xe version??

does this phone have any problem??
*
every phone also have some problems...this is inevitable...even the overated SGSII also have alot of problems...yellow tint screen, Burn in after a few months of usage, pink spot camera, just to name a few...and their customer service aint exactly the best also...if compared to HTC, i would choose a HTC any day compared to the iphone copycat.

Did you see the youtube video above?  doh.gif

The problem above can be easily fixed, unlike the samsung amoled screen...There are actually only a small group of people suffers from the touchscreen problem, and now it is rectified

There's no Faq about inaccurate battery reading:(
*
maybe you could re-calibrate the battery by:

1. drain the phone's battery dry and let the phone turn itself off.
2. wait for a couple of minutes, and switch it on again.
3. repeat the 2 steps above until the phone cant turn on no more.
4. then charge it until it full.

After the process above, use it normally, you should feel that the battery consumption is very high. It will become normal again after a week or so..

I meant before fixing my screen, I can use even without my back casing and my friend's one worked fine without the back casing as well. Now, with or without casing also same. And the vibrator is weird. It's like there's some plasticky sound vibrating inside the phone. This happened before they changed the motherboard as well.
in normal circumstance, it should work even without the casing, i believe if you use it long enough without the casing, the static will eventually build up and you will have the weird problem again. Since you have the problem right after you sent it in, maybe you should re-send it to them and be specific regarding the problems you faced. Maybe you could turn it off, pull the battery up and leave it overnight? It should leave the phone plenty of time to discharge the static.

Bought this phone last night but the phone got problem..it keeps on reboot..I tried to take out the battery and put it again but the rebooting continues..tried factory reset also the problem continues.. anyone encounter this problem before?
*
does your definition of rebooting is where the HTC screen came out and a "loading" came out? And it happens right after u played some intense game or running multiple tabs in browser?

The HTC screen came out and then the lock screen. Less then 5 second the phone reboot..I didn't played game or running multiple page..I just login to google,  download goweather and update Facebook for android apps
it started to happen when I charge the phone for the first time..
*
does it have the startup chimes? the HTC chime? IF it doesnt, then it is not considered as a reboot, it is only the HTC sense reloading. The cause of this is when the phone is running low on memory, it will kill some of the application or even the HTC sense to free up some memory to speed up the running process.

IMO,what's the use having a qHD screen but when scrolling the text flickers? For the earphones, yes it's better, that i agree/But about the plastic body on the SGS2,i think people are confused with build quality and build materials, yes the SGS2 is built using plastic but it's solid, there's no creaks or anything compared to the Sensation which creaks if you push down the screen a bit harder than normal. brows.gif

Added on December 9, 2011, 1:58 pm
Yes,since the only difference between them is the battery and earphones.
*
never knew flickering of text is caused by the resolution, i believe only those having AUO screen are having the problem i guess, cause i never did experienced that thing you mentioned. SGSII uses amoled too..but it is prone to burn in after months of usage, and most of the devices have a yellow tint on the left side of the screen, not to mention the pink spot camera..would rather get a LCD with poor angle view instead of the burn in and yellow tint. The creak is probably there for the battery to expand overtime. I believe the XE does not have the problem because the newer revision battery is thicker than the regular one. SGSII have poor ergonomic design and is not very pleasant to hold. Not to mention the mechanical button that will die or degrade over time like Iphone 4.

Flickering only happens to Acer panels. Sharp panels do not have that issue. Exactly, I wrote build material.

Have to agree that S II isn't that good to hold in hands even though it's thinner. 1-hand usage is harder on S II compared to Sensation. This is caused by the wider screen on S II vs the longer screen on Sensation. But this equates to a larger screen area on S II actually even though both are 4.3 measured diagonally.
*
WVGA and QHD, hence the thickness, the aspect ratio is different. sensation is on a 16:9 while sgs is on 4:3, and sensation display appear to be longer too

I bought my Sensation XE from one of the recommended retailers here. I also purchased the screen protector for my screen and the person helped me to stick on my screen. I found that all the edges cannot stick throughly. The person told me it is common because the edges are not flat... So my screen edge can see like "bubbles" around... Is it common??
*
yes it is normal, because the glass is curved, mine have like plenty of air bubbles near the capacitive buttons..however it is still possible to stick it perfectly, well not perfectly but with very minimal air bubbles.
