QUOTE(benny888 @ Oct 28 2011, 05:18 PM) I have both and I must say the sgsII is much superior in many aspects. Also the advertising blitz in local newspaper make awareness of the SGS II better. One hardly see HTC sensation advert i believe in singapore the marketing for HTC product is quite big..you can see from their FB page, they held so much event for their phones..unlike in malaysia..IMHO SGSII is only superior on paper only...and software wise, i believe HTC have the edge...not to mention build quality.Added on October 28, 2011, 6:12 pm QUOTE(queenc @ Oct 28 2011, 06:03 PM) bro i going to buy new phone superior is one thing...preference is one thing...go try out both phones to assist you in making decision.here this tered http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/2087176 u say sgs2 superior than XE??? how long xe batt last? Added on October 28, 2011, 6:03 pmhtc sense look tempting.. how good is it? From what i heard the XE actually have longer battery life than SGSII, even the regular sensation have better battery life than SGSII, don't know how true is that. I actually tried both devices before, HTC sense made me say "WOW", while SGSII's touch wiz made me say "yet another iphone-ish interface". This post has been edited by lcs87: Oct 28 2011, 06:14 PM |

QUOTE(queenc @ Oct 29 2011, 12:29 AM) can u guys read his post lol i personally dont agree. never tried LG's phone, from what i can see, the interface itself is quite crappy. As for the amoled screen, i think its the crappiest, because they are prone to burn in like the old plasma TV, and the color is so saturated, it looks fake, not to mention the blue-ish tone that samsung use to compensate for the blue led that burn very fast. they have an advantage over SLCD in term of viewing angle. u agree.. make me even confuse to choose http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopi...post&p=46316458 » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(maximus7 @ Nov 6 2011, 12:56 PM) leave it the hell alone...the back cover will eventually get creaky after you change it...dont go and press it too much, because it will get worse. Some people said that the creak is there to accomodate for the battery, whereby it will expand over time. Heard the new XE battery is thicker, and is able to fix the creakiness of the cover. |

QUOTE(retsmot @ Nov 7 2011, 03:42 PM) ram is 768. just that the task killer list 5xx. i'm not sure why lol. don't worry bout it. i think someone posted this b4, but here it is again. 5xx is correct, 768 is the total memory we have, 200mb of the memory is shared to the graphic card. the task killer's listed memory is not accurate, the true amount of memory you have left can be viewed using the running services in the setting.http://lifehacker.com/5650894/android-task...ouldnt-use-them read it, its good read. in short, don't worry bout the 80mb ram u have left. android doing its job. as for the storage. it is one of htc's Achilles heel haha. really sucks. but i still have 900mb like dat left, so still better than my old wildfire which had less than 20mb always lol. |

QUOTE(eric_tan @ Nov 12 2011, 02:46 PM) Wah, spent the whole night reading from Pg 1 to 35.... noted..will try to fix it up in the near future..I think TS should have a summary of useful facts/info incorporated into the first few posts... Useful info I would find useful is like, difference between Sensation, XE and XL. Maybe some market value, or what was the last purchased price.. and where? AP or Original sets. Battery life, usage and aftermarket batteries. Accessories link to WTS forumers. S-On, S-Off and warranty. Pros and Cons of S-On or S-Off Reason for going S-Off and root (for me its for the full ROM dump... is the most important, since got no full backup features in Android. It is not just for installing alternative ROMs) I am sure there are many common topic and useful info that could be added to the first few page, as well as important links. Will be getting my Sensation Tomorrow... its with my brother in KL... ! 1up! |

QUOTE(caj178 @ Nov 12 2011, 08:35 PM) I had the same problem.Once it dropped from 80+% to 24% when i woke up in the morning.Another time it dropped from 96% to 66% in around 3 hours in the morning did you all used the facebook apps? The facebook apps is kinda screwed up...it will drain your battery like mad..at an abnormal pace...experienced that myself...Do a restart and try not to use the facebook apps anymore and see if it improves. |

QUOTE(E71s @ Nov 16 2011, 10:59 AM) I used superwipe.I don't want to take any risk.but the battery performance does not really improve, still like that. camera of evo3d is more inferior to sensation's...and the 3d is very gimmicky..might cause headache for some people..the 5mp camera is slower and only capable of doing 720p and 3d images is stuck at 2mp...the phone itself is bulkier..and the design isnt very nice...not to mention the plastic body..Added on November 16, 2011, 11:03 amBtw I always wonder hoe come HTC evo3d and the sensation almost the same price (may be paying 100bucks more for the 3d),but it obviously has a bigger ram but people still go for sensation? Is that the HTC commercials promoting sensation xe did the trick?Would like to hear from you guys.Personally I think that Htc Evo3d has a very ugly look and thick body. But the 3D is really an extra considering 3d games and videos. |

QUOTE(E71s @ Nov 16 2011, 10:39 PM) But actually if Sensation buy Ap set sure ta pao. When the dust under sreen/death grip/housing problem strikes, you have to drop by Ap shop counters and ask everyday whether your phone is ready or not, probably like waiting a week,or more. yea..thts why i always recommend to go for SIS set...and for most cases the price does not differ much as wellThings became worse if you are not from Kl but the Ap shop in Kl,just like no warranty lol |

QUOTE i doubt thats the case, when ur sense UI restart itself, it means that the device closed the HTC sense to make more ram for you to play the game. Android is very good at memory management..dont get too stress when ur HTC sense UI restart itself, it is part of the android system.Added on November 17, 2011, 10:22 am QUOTE(Soony @ Nov 17 2011, 12:49 AM) hmmm, see there's people selling the beats earphone for RM 80, I wonder where do they get their sources from, it seems original. those sold by random vendor is definitely fake...you can try go to the beat's site, and they will list all the legit seller for original beats...as far as i know..only machine(mac store) and harvey norman sells the original...dont go and get those 80/90 ringgit fake crap...If its too good to be true..then 99% its either a scam or fake.http://forum.lowyat.net/index.php?showtopic=1903627 If thats the case then no point buying the XE over the normal version This post has been edited by lcs87: Nov 17 2011, 10:22 AM |

QUOTE(hengguowei @ Nov 17 2011, 09:34 PM) I hate to say but after changing the screen and panel, my touch screen is going crazy. Sensitivity got problem and when I swipe faster, it can't take the full swipe correctly. Which as an example, it's practically impossible for me to get the carousel effect running in the homescreen. probably caused by the new case's grounding..refer to the faqs in the first page regarding static build up on screen |
