r u sure u done everything right or not? mine nvr c the yellow triangle anymore since using cwm

QUOTE(antt00 @ Oct 14 2011, 12:18 PM)
You need to flash back stock kernel zimage to remove triangle. Then reflash siyah kernel. Use cwm manager or similar app that allow you to flash zimage to do this.
*
QUOTE(del_Piero10 @ Oct 14 2011, 12:21 PM)
use 7-zip to extract the zimage from the stock kernel and flash it with CWM. after that reflash custom kernel.
*
Thanks everyone for the help. Really appreciate it. I already have the zimage, but thought after flashing with Odin, got triangle, so flash again with CWM and it will disappear....going to flash the zimage and then Siyah kernel again. Thanks again people notworthy.gif

Used Siyah 1.8 for a few hours, ditched it when my notification wifi icon showed it was turning off but my widget showed it was off....tapped the widget and the widget shows on, but nothing happens and the notification shows it is still in between.....went back to my CF-root kernel (took 3 seconds to flash the kernel back)...any fix for the wifi issue?

It will glow a little, it is the screen back-lighting, for sure it will leak very very little. I know exactly what you mean. But if you display like a few lines of words on the screen, you will not notice it at all. Like when turning on the phone at the screen that shows the model number.

The GPS kicked in, saw that you cannot possibly be walking at more than 50kmh and disabled your built in mic so you can't talk and drive....it's a conspiracy I tell you!!!

Just making a joke that the phone knows that he was talking while driving, so stopped him from talking by disabling his microphone...

okay i went and tested it with a pureblack wallpaper and yes there is a slight glow, noticed it after a few secs in a dark room after my eyes adjusted to the brightness. The thing is there's no backlighting for the amoled tho.
*
I know, but it is a million times better than the bleed from any LCD screens. Try typing something or placing another object in the picture, once the screen shows more than black, the bleed vanishes..

Get an app called compass from the market. This one:

https://market.android.com/details?id=com.a...e.compass&hl=en.

Install it and use the theme that is orange on black. You will not believe how unbelievably good the display looks, all you can see are the lines of the compass and the blackness of the room around you. Make sure it is pitch dark.

The app has a tendency of running in the background, so either uninstall it or freeze it.

Plus the fact that some guy calculated before (right here in this thread) and stated that with heavy use, our screens would be lucky if it would last a year before the oleds start to die. Emphasis on START TO though.

Hopefully that's covered under warranty weh.
*
The lifespan factor was with the first gen and old AMOLED screens. Ours has improved so it will last forever

Quote from wiki : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AMOLED

''The organic materials used in AMOLED displays are prone to degradation over a period of time. However, technology has been developed to compensate for material degradation.''

SO no need to worry, the phone will last forever rclxm9.gif

Seems like when i ply asphalt 6 hd got slight bit of choppyness, like when nitro, got choppiness. could it be my kernel? On siyahkernel 2.0 beta7,could the betaness of it cause the issue?

Edit:on siyah kernel 1.8 also have choppiness,is it normal?
*
You want to remove all choppiness? use Tegrak, Lock the GPU speed, overclock to 1.5GHz or 1.4GHz and lock the CPU speed too. Will become so smooth you won't believe your eyes.

delivery charges are about 45 bucks before splitting. i intend to buy a few stuff from them i have an account

http://www.sunsky-online.com/view/222767/C...+II+++i9100.htm

probably split per item like that so delivery charges would be around RM10 like (this is purely from china to my house shipping, not my house to yours lmao)

Use Dealextreme instead. Free shipping to anywhere.

I have used Dealextreme many times before. The stuff there is very cheap and can be trusted. Combined with free shipping, it is very worth it. I ordered a 1800mAh battery for $4....which is like RM12. Even if it lasts shorter than the original, I can buy a cheapo external battery charger or just DIY one myself..
