I chose the Ultra Optics screen protector because I wanted to reduce the impact of fingerprints and other skin oils without using an oleophobic product. (Oleophobic surfaces do reduce the visibility of fingerprints, but I dislike how difficult they are to clean well.)

The Ultra Optics product is very easy to install. I had fewer bubbles with this product than with others, and they were easier to eliminate. The protector is thicker than I expected, but doesn't interfere with the touch functionality of the iPhone 4.

Unfortunately there are a couple of drawbacks. First, it definitely degrades the visible resolution of the "retina" screen. It doesn't harm the brightness enough to notice, but the screen is not as sharp with this product installed as without. Second, it acts as sort of a hexagonal diffraction grating when bright lights are reflected from the screen. Instead of a single bright reflection, I see a hexagonal set of reflections. The central reflection is not as bright, but the colored reflections are smeared across the screen (getting dimmer away from the central reflection).

Overall I'm pleased, and neither of these problems is enough for me to revert to a glossy screen protector. Although the resolutions impacted a bit, the effect of skin oils is greatly reduced. The colored reflections are a nuisance, but the fact that the screen isn't dimmed appreciably more than makes up for that. This product is the best compromise that I've found for reducing the impact of fingerprints and other skin oils.
