Same. My office don't let us use Wi-Fi, somemore block this and that site.

Use for downloads, watch YouTube, upload photos, etc. easily over 3GB. If use as HotSpot somemore, 100% not enough. Recently Streamyx very slow also...
Previously the thunder damage my router and phone line, took weeks to fix, everyday HotSpot with DiGi... have to control the usage also later throttle speed no more fun.
*
Maybe Streamyx got some maintenance issue? Have you reported it? Last time I reported via Twitter directly tongue.gif @TMConnects.

I think apps will get better and better for Meego. I can see a lot of quality apps in the store now and new ones coming out every day. Apps for the latest services like Dropbox, Spotify and Sound Cloud are also available. Firefox and Opera mini are being fine tuned. Not bad for a platform which is only 2 months old and pronounced "dead" by reviewers. In comparison app development for Symbian is more or less moribund.

The caveat is that many commercial developers are shying away as Elop has pronounced the death sentence for Meego by declaring N9 as "The Last Meego Phone". Hence apps like Whatsapp, Oxford dictionaries and MS Office editors may not be coming. Alternatives like eBuddy and Calligra may be able to fill the gap in future. Google maps can be used with CloudGPS now. Video calls is in development by Peregrine.

Give another 6 months and I predict there will be many Meego apps which Symbian don't have and WP7 developers cannot do due to the closed OS. An example is the Call Recorder. There are many more quality apps which can be ported from Maemo5. Meego isn't going to play dead for Elop by any means.

yeah.. love the spirit smile.gif

Personally, I would use File Sink since it has better UI. But be informed that it does create a new folder named File Sink inside your DROPBOX folder once you upload files from your N9. For me, its not a big deal at all.

No, i did device wipe out first. Did not work, still prompt password for all account. Then I do firmware reflash right now. Seemed to have solved the problem finally. Did not prompt for password anymore. Looks like that's only way to rebuild the corrupted SQL data base on the phone as device wipeout seemed to leave some apps on the device too.

Added on December 12, 2011, 10:24 amI wonder if you guys are using this to connect to msn and ym now. Telepathy for N9. http://talk.maemo.org/showthread.php?p=1136154#post1136154

This isn't the peregrine development team it's a bug report. Lack of video chat can't be called a bug. But anyway here's the latest news from Nokia Gadget
*
At least we can email them to suggest an integrated 3G and Skype Call for MeeGo smile.gif

By the way, anyone notice that "top site" feature on web no longer worked properly after PR 1.1, after long time of usage, my top sites are still the top 5 stocked Nokia website, which is impossible.
*
yup I noticed that too.

regarding using 3rd party charger, u must first check the output ampere rating, some old charger is very small in output ampere because battery capacity is small on those phones. If ur output ampere is about 1000 ma, then u should be able to charge quite fast
*
How about using MiPow Power Tube 4000 mAh external battery charger? Will it affect my battery too?

Evernote is coming to Nokia N9 biggrin.gif.. Even though it is unofficial and you can't create new notes yet, still a good sign for Evernote users smile.gif

Hi, guys.

Do you use any screen protector or casing?
Is there any recommended screen protector for N9?
*
You can buy the original silicon case from Nokia Store. Around RM60++ I think so.

For the screen protector, I can't recommend any since I didn't use it.

For great swipe experience. I recommend not to use a protector at all, just becareful with not placing keys in the same pocket. I cannot imagine myself using screen protector, it's just horrible especially when trying to change keyboard

P/S - Interface = Antaramuka? Haha, such literal translation.
*
Totally agreed. Last time, I bought a screen protector and quickly removed it after 2 hours usage hahaha.

p/s: Amanz.my is one of the popular local Gadget blog and they are known for using BM in all their posts. Sometimes so funny when reading it hehe tongue.gif
